Any one with loved ones in this division yet? My daughter left Dec 12th. I haven't received a letter yet from her, but I was able to get the Information from the recruiter.

HEY FAMILY
I was just on RTC Site..There was a comment made about pics.
Of the last PIR on the 10th. Well, I just reat that for now on, RTC isnt goin to post ALL their
pics from the PIR's anymore, Only 15 - 20 of them random will be posted. SO let's all take pics then we can share with each other when we get back from our trips..I like to get as many as I can to make an album for Kara..
I would love to get as many from our Div..Have a great night..SHERRY:)
Sherry, I think this is a brilliant idea. We will have 3 cameras in our group. The more cameras the better.
I started making a scrapbook for Shannan as a graduation gift. The 1st phase is the Midway and MEPS (it makes me cry to see how scared she was, I can't wait to see the changes in her). I also put the Christmas picture, a map of Recruit Training Command & we were even lucky enough to have her boarding pass to O'Hare. So the next phase will be graduation. I can't wait to give it to her. I will keep adding to the book for her as she travels through her Navy lift.
I will bring it to Sarge's "Meet and Greet" if anyone wants inspiration. :)
BTW Michael's Crafts has a scrapbook with the Navy Logo on the front.
This is such a great idea! It makes me so sad because Tim had no idea that I could go with him to be sworn in. He didn't know I could go to the airport and wish him fair well either until it was too late. I feel so bad, I should have been there. Everyone has pictures with their children at MEPS, I feel like a crappy wife. I would have been there if we had known. I love this idea =) I planned on scrap booking once we got settled into our new home.. I think I'm going to make one that is titled "Our Journey" and You best bet I'm bringing my camera!
I have talked to a lot of people that didn't know they could go to MEPS, my aunt being one of them. And they are feeling the same as you, =(. We decided not to go to the air port, It was just too hard to keep leaving her (the hotel and meeting).
I have been scrap booking for years. Both of my girls have 2 book each (now Shannan has 3, LOL). 1 from birth to the end of 8th grade and the other from 9th grade forward. They both have a lot of the same pictures in them, but this way when they start their own households there won't be any fighting over pictures or scrapbooks, lol. My girls helped me with them a lot, it was great bonding time. Their Senior year they each had to make a scrapbook of things they did that year. the teacher asked for 10 pages for each 6 weeks, by the end of the school year my girls had the fattest books with the most pages. They had so much fun doing them the teacher had to put a limit on how many pages they could turn in.
love your scrapbook idea, she will love it!! cant wait to see it at Sarges. I have a bunch of scrapbook "supplies" but I have yet to sit down and put one together.
I love the creative side of scrap booking, but I hate the journaling side. You'll see there are still a lot of pages I need to put caption on. I'm going to try to work on it to day, but I start looking at the pictures and get distracted.
great idea Sherry, that stinks they are reducing the pics NOW!!
