Woohoo I received a letter today from my son.  I'm sooooo happy.  The letter goes like this ....

Dear Mom, I'm doing fine...took some time to get the routine down and now everything is much better.  PT is not bad and if people mess up they get IT (intensive training).  He said "it's hard to do everything the way they want it done, but if you do it the way they want it done, everything is great...so reading between the lines, he is learning to do everything right the first time.  He misses is girlfriend, friends, and me but is going to stay strong and he would make it through to graduation.   He said that he marches a lot and said that it was fun!  Wow is this my kid?

Ohhhhhh I'm so proud and cried through the whole letter - I'm feeling much better about everything!  Wow My son is becoming a man in front of my eyes (well letter).   Good stuff - Hope everyone gets a letter.

woohoo! and HOOYAH! (i've seen that alot on the navy page...ha!) Our SR's biggest frustration is that recruits "don't get it" about working together will get you places. After that initial letter, I thought I'd be able to get back to a better routine... NOW, we wait for the call! hah! hoping everyone gets theirs this week.

My daughter said the same thing.  That they biggest frustration is that they don't get it and don't listen.  Hopefully they will get it together.  Thanks for posting.  i was feeling lonely.  Now I have peeps for Div 097.

YAY....Go TRITON's....

oh i so hope these girls can stay strong! and hope they connect with some "peeps", too!

great to hear from you jacque! Go TRITON's!

Attention all you USS TRITON 12/097'ers: we have a fbk private group page for those finding it easier to login there... with it being private one of us need to invite you so inbox a request to get hooked up... we had quite the lively postings going on for Trivia Tuesday- one dad is living in Jamaica!

Did all of you already book your flights? I'm coming from California and don't know if booking sooner or later is better.

great to hear on calls!!

i did try to add several times but your fbk wall doesn't allow me to "friend" you??? no idea why- so try friend request me???

sooner flights are generally better rates... plane tix not good to check on mondays.... somewhere someone posted a code for one of the airlines for a discount- i'll try to find for you : )

I love phone calls tooo....LOL just got one this morning.  Tues/Wed Nights are better for checking internet flights.  Sooner is sometimes better, I have a code to AA too if you need it.  We are driving (only 6 hrs for us) so you are welcomed to the code (About $30 off ea tix.)  Let me know!

Cute doggie btw....

HI!!! After wandering aimlessly I finally found the right group.  MAN, there sure are a lot of SR.  LOL.  Just wanted to share that I got a call today from my SR.  I must say as I was reading the below posts, this time around with my adopted daughter, it's different.  She writes, she calls and stays in touch.  When my son was in GL years ago, he didn't do any of it.  I remember driving up to PIR not knowing whether they passed battlestations or not.  THANK GOODNESS for N4M.  I connected with another mom from his div/ship and SHE told me they were due to graduate.  So for all of you who haven't heard from your SR, keep following these posts.  You will get the info you need and a glimpse of how your Sailor is doing. thru this wonderful network of N4M.  Somtimes kids don't know or understand how much it means to us to make sure they are okay, but as parents (trying to include the dads too-LOL) we worry, as moms our worry is 10 fold.  So hang in there, you will get your call, letter, and info..
