Hello again, fellow moms! My friend who is a home ec teacher helped me make my scarf today and it looks MUCH better than if I had done it by myself (that is an understatement!!). I'll be wearing it at the Meet and Greets: Sarge and Ramada Inn.
Someone has already listed the Battlestations days and then it was deleted because that info was not supposed to be on the site publicly. Please send me a message and I will let you know when the 083 has its Battlestations21. (It is later than I thought it would be.)
I'm not sure how to send private messages. I'm new to this site. Would love to know any info about battlestations. If you could message me that would be great. I'm working on my scarfs also. Can't wait for PIR. It's getting close. My son also told me they are in the running for hall of fame division. So lets keep our fingers crossed.
This is a Quote from Aarons Letter
"We Aced the Marlinspike! 0 bad hits!
Things are really staring to come together now. we are working as a team, following directions, more attention to detail. We are in the running to be a H.O.F ( Hall of fame) Division. Right now we are beating the brakes off of the other competition! I am really proud of them!"
So like I said!, we have a great group! I am struggling with the scarf issue. I am afraid I won't have one to wear but I will seek all of you out!
Leslie, Thank you for posting quotes from your letter. It is great to hear any news related to my son!
re: the scarf, believe me, except for knitting, I am not a "craftsy" person at all. If you want something yellow to wear around your neck: purchase some yellow fleece fabric, enough to have about a 68 - 70" strip long and about 10 - 11" wide. As the other ladies did, mine has about 3" strips cut at each end for fringe (about 1/2" apart). I am wearing mine to loop once around my neck loosely with both ends hanging in the front. My anchor applique is on one end above the fringe and my son's name and div # are on the other end above the fringe. If you do not have time for the appliques, just get a strip of fleece. I did have help with mine (since I am scarf-challenged); however, now that it is finished, it was not as big a project as I thought it would be. Good luck if you decide to do it!
GATE PASSES ARE AVAILABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also solved the scarf problem. I found white scarves and going to dye them yellow!
Go, Leslie!!
Sheila, I just sent you a "friend" request. If you accept, I can send you a message.
Just excepted the friend request. Thanks!
can you add me too? I am making buttons for my family to wear. I don't have any place to get things to put on the scarves so i am making an anchor button with the div # and PIR date on them and then a picture of my boys on the other. Will that be ok?
