Anyone else have loved ones in this division? I could use some help understand what this division is about, the note on the back of the form said he is in the drill division. I know that means he preforms at his PIR and two before his, but I'm curious about what that means as far as his time in RTC and after.

Carlolyn19 -- we did not get a letter today either, and neither did our son's fiancee.  I will be crushed if we don't get one tomorrow.  I take my phone absolutely everywhere with me  :-)  It's been a long few weeks.

It has been a long three weeks.  I will be so upset if I don't get one tomorrow too.  I am so curious to hear how things are going.

I just got mine this morning :) and it seems to be all good news. From what I can tell their division has grown close. Hope you ladies get your soon!!! Anyone know how long thier phone call will be?

My daughter just called. She got a letter from her brother today, she's away at college.  She said he sounds good, a lot of LOLs and smiley faces.  He's the Recruit Athletic Petty Officer for the division, not sure how he got the position (he loves sports though).  I can't wait to get home and check the mailbox :)

Got my letter too! It was 11 pages! He sounds good! He hates when the division screws up because they get IT and it hurts really bad. Has made some friends. I had an awesome day because of this letter. Now we wait for more!

Got 2 letters today.  So good to hear from him.  He says it is better now that he is out of p-days, really likes the food( which is really good since he was a picky eater).  He misses home but that is to be expected, seems to like those around him.  Hope everyone gets theirs today

I am so glad you all got your letters today! My boy said the same thing about the food. He eats alot! He said he had been sick also. He cant wait to get out of boot camp though just so he can take a real shower LOL! Hope everyone else gets thier letters also! I think we should be getting a call any day, It is usually 3 to 4 weeks. and it has been 3 and a half almost. so maybe this weekend , I think they write letters on Sundays, so maybe we will get a call then???

Just got a call from my son. He sounded good we got to talk for awhile. Hope everyone gets calls.

Just got my call too!! Sounds like everyone is doing good and they have a good group :)

We got our call, too :) He does sound good tired but that's to be expected.... He also says that they have a good group.

My son said it is a good group too.  He said it is good how everyone comes from different places and backgrounds but they are all the same too.  He says he is the mail man now and that their division will not be on the floor during PIR but that they will be holding doors, body snatchers, etc. I don't really know what they do during the ceremony and if its a bad thing that they won't be on the floor.  I guess they don't march in?  It was good to hear from him:)

From what my husband said they walk in from the right and exit through the left, and they are only on stage for about ten minutes tops
