Okay, I know for a fact that there are approximately 84 members of this division who have loved ones at home missing them. We are now almost at the half way mark, and yet we are not a very active group on this website. I don't understand it. I know from the few people that I have talked to, that there are some anxious moms, wives and girlfriends out there, and I can't help but think that there has to be many more who are just wondering what to do or who to talk to. So, allow me to say this......
HELLO!!!!!!!!!!! Make yourself known! Don't be shy, we are all the same boat. We miss our loved ones just like you! I am online almost every day, and I wouldn't care a bit to become friends with anyone who wants to chat, become penpals, or just maybe need some help with info. Send me a note if want to. I didn't even see a post on here recently, so I thought I would post this one to see if maybe there was any new members that might have just joined recently.
I know that my son is one of six Section Leaders, so I know that he is getting to know youryour son very well. I hope to see you all at Sarges, the night before graduation, in a little over 4 weeks. Hope to hear from some of you!

In an effort to keep this on the top, I will reply. I am also interested in knowing if anyone from this division has received a phone call? We are now getting mail, but I see the other divisions in this TG have gotten there second phone calls.
I just now got my second letter from Patrick. Everyone else in my family got letters from him and I have to admit I was getting upset with him because I couldn't figure out why he didn't write me. Then two days in a row now I got letters. I looked at the post marks and it took the first letter 10 days to arrive to me and the one today only took two days. Good old US Mail! I live in the mountains, so I will say that's the excuse I will get. I don't care, I'm just glad to know that he's doing great and all is well. Of course I made everyone else who got letters read them word for word. :) Someone donated some calling cards for the guys in the Division, so I sent them out yesterday. Hopefully they will get to call home soon and the ones without calling cards will be able to use them. I asked Patrick to give them to th guys who didn't have one.
I am glad you finally received your letters! It makes for a good night! I can imagine you reading them over and over again! It is vey nice that you are donating calling cards to the recruits. I am excited to know that we are heading into MArch and will soon be seeing our children!!!
Just an FYI...to "bump" a Discussion to the top...all you have to do is type one charachter in (even just a period!) and hit reply. Then, delete the reply (click the "x" in the top right corner....the Discussion will remain at the top until another Discussion comes along and "bumps" it.
That's if you want to place one at the top but don't have anything to say...you'll have noticed by now that I always seem to have something to say! LOL
I'll reply. My son is in 7/103 and so far there is 3 other's I have been in contact with. Not very active either and we are at the halfway point too. Oh well.
Lori, I'm wondering if some people just haven't stumbled into this section of the group yet? We'll just keep plugging away. Maybe we should combine groups? Just a suggestion? What is your son going to do in the navy?
I am not sure but was there already a discussion for this group? You can combine with 103 if you like...they are your brother division. You could invite them over as they have a small amount of posts and then just Change the Title to reflect Ship 07 103 & 104 Brother Divisions.
I am right here!!! LOL We definitly have a quiet group and I am not sure why. Anyway, I have been in touch with LaLa about the ribbons and I think we should go with purple ribbons with white anchors on them for graduation. She said no one else in the graduating class has this color chosen. I will be sending a link later today and directions on how to order them. We all need to be meeting each other and keeping in contact. i really dont think alot of people know about this website????
Has anyone gotten the second phone call?
Second phone call? I didnt know they were getting a second phone call! This is exciting to know and to look forward to!!
there are a total of three phone calls to expect. One is the "I arrived and I am ok" on the first night. Then around the third week to say " im still here. and lastly after BS21 to say they are a Sailor and on track to make PIR on time.
I have not received the second phone call but am excited to report I received two letters today! I wanted to hug the dang mail man!!
I have been in contact with LaLa about the ribbons. I would like to suggest purple ribbons with white anchors? She said no group for this graduating group has this color picked out. Is anyone interested?? I wrote my son today and told him to tell his fellow recruits to have thier parents get on this web site so that we can all meet each other. Let me know what you all think about the ribbons?
