Okay, I know for a fact that there are approximately 84 members of this division who have loved ones at home missing them.  We are now almost at the half way mark, and yet we are not a very active group on this website.  I don't understand it.  I know from the few people that I have talked to, that there are some anxious moms, wives and girlfriends out there, and I can't help but think that there has to be many more who are just wondering what to do or who to talk to.  So, allow me to say this......

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!  Make yourself known!  Don't be shy, we are all the same boat.  We miss our loved ones just like you!  I am online almost every day, and I wouldn't care a bit to become friends with anyone who wants to chat, become penpals, or just maybe need some help with info.  Send me a note if want to.  I didn't even see a post on here recently, so I thought I would post this one to see if maybe there was any new members that might have just joined recently.

I know that my son is one of six Section Leaders, so I know that he is getting to know youryour son very well.  I hope to see you all at Sarges, the night before graduation, in a little over 4 weeks.  Hope to hear from some of you!

Morgan, I am sure Paula emailed you about the ribbons, if you still have wuestions, please ask her or post them.

My boyfriend is in this division!

Morgan, who is your boyfriend? My son is Preston. I am very excited and anxious for graduation. We are counting down the days. Where are you from and where are you staying? We are from Decatur, about 3 hours south of Chicago and will be staying at the Navy lodge. Is your boyfriend staying on for Aschool or will he be going elsewhere?

My boyfriend is Austin. I'm feeling the EXACT same way, and with it being only a little less than 17 days away now, the anxiety is growing! We'll be staying at the Ramada Inn and we'll be driving from Charleston, SC (where his family lives). I live in south Georgia, about 30 minutes from Jacksonville, FL. Austin will be staying in Chicago for A School and from what I can tell through his letters, he's having a great time! (surprised his family and myself) lol What have you heard of Preston's experience?

Preston writes of good experiences so far. He is very homesick, which I knew would happen and misses his girlfriend as well. I am excited as our days are dwindling. We will be at graduation before you know it. Have a safe drive.

We are now getting closer to PIR and I believe our sons have just gone thru "Hell Week".  I'm sure my son is glad it's over.  I can't help but remember how I hated that part of bootcamp.  It was one part training that I don't think I will forget.  Be sure to write your sons and let them know you support them! :)

Paula, it was nice talking with you today. I can not wait to meet you and am excited for our loved ones.

Tiffany, It was great talking to you today also.  Thanks for calling, I really look forward to meeting you too.  I think we'll be good friends for the rest of our lives, I bet our boys will be also!  Try not to work too hard. :)

Just had a letter from Austin saying that I should plan to wear a yellow ribbon in my hair at graduation. Has anyone's sailor mentioned this to anyone else?

Hadn't heard anything about a yellow ribbon.  My first thought when I read your message was the old song, "Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree" by Tony Orlando and Dawn (lol) but I'm sure you are way too young to know that old song. :)  It's about someone coming home soon. Gosh, my mom use to play that song over and over when my dad was out to sea, but I doubt that Austin would know that reference either.  I haven't got a clue about the yellow ribbon.  Patrick hasn't mentioned anything in his letters, and I have had seven six letters now, and I know he didn't mention anything in the letters he wrote to any of the other family members he wrote either.  Maybe someone else has a clue.  I know that I am making ribbons to wear that are blue and white.  We couldn't seem to get any other family members of the other recruts to respond so we just decided to go with those colors.  Ours have anchors and stars on them and their last name and division on them.  Mine has a flag since Patrick has retired navy members (his grandfather, aunt, and I).  Not sure what other people are doing since for some reason, our division has been so quiet, and we are getting so close now to graduation.  I don't like waiting until the last minute to do things.   I do know that there are several of us going to Sarges Meet and Greet on 29th. Do you plan on going to that?  I'd love to meet you?
