Good morning ML,
Yes my son had a couple fillings plus they pulled his wisdom teeth, I don't know why the Navy pulls all these wisdom teeth they must have a stock pile!!! Lol. My son sounded pretty good also said he had a cold. I think they all get it from what it sounds... Hope your daughter is feeling better. He said he.also has meet some nice people. He will be attending A school in Charlotte. Going into the Nuke program. What is she going for? Where are you from?

Good morning Freese,

She is going for Master at Arms.  We are from Tennessee.  How about you?  I am really proud of her decision to join the Navy.  Her dad is a former Marine.  She is my youngest of three daughters so I am having to also adjust to "empty nest".  It is difficult but I will survive.  Can't wait for graduation!

I am very Proud of my son also and I feel for you with the empty nest!!! He is my only son and I was a single parent for over 10 years so we have a very close relationship!!! But I do have a 14yr old daughter who keeps me hoping... Lol You know you had 3........ But I have my moments!!! He is just gonna shake his head at me when I hand him his phone and he sees his facebook page.;). We are in New York, We are driving to graduation its about the same time to drive down to Charlotte from here.
( thanks to your husband for his service and your daughter)

Freese,

Where are you staying at PIR?  We are staying at the Ramada.  We are driving up too.  It should take 8 or 9 hours.  Wow!  Single parent for 10 years.  I admire you.  Evidently you did something very right.  It takes a very special young man or woman to dedicate their life to the military.  You have done an amazing job.

Where are you staying... ML, are you going to the airport the next day to see your daughter off?
We are staying at th MWR on base campground, towing our camper because we have a 8 month old mastiff puppy that weighs 125lb and hotels :( on that.LOL He misses his brother so have to bring him...... Yes he is a very special young man, extremely proud. And thank you....... Ya our trip will be about 14hrs, but I have bought a new Suburban so My boyfriend and my mom, dad, daughter and puppy are all taking the Road Trip. Should be interesting
!! LOL.

Just found you!  Yay!  My son is in Ship 02 - Div 923

so great to know the name of the ship.  My son is also in ship 02 div 928.  : )

My boyfriend is in this Division as well:) I am not sure why he hasn't explained yet. Hope to find out soon:)

Can someone with any
info on 900 divisions pls advise, my son is in DIV 928 but he has NO musical talents (that I know of) so why would he be in this div? he was not in ROTC in HS, ha no drill exp, etc. What could he be doing in this Div?? Just curious.

Hello all!  My son is Division 923 from what I have learned this is a performance Division, they do choir, flags, band,  Honor Guard and all sorts of things.  They have door holders and body snatchers as well.  When you write or talk to your SR ask what their job is in the Division and then you will have a better idea of what they are doing.  My son played sax since middle school so I instantly thought he was in the band...Nope he is Honor Guard.  They will be performing at their own PIR and usually the 2 prior to.  With my SR being Honor Guard I was able to see a picture of him on the RTC Facebook website since they post random pictures.  Very nice!  Hope this helps

Ok so I am new to this Discussion  But My daughter is in Ship 2 Div. 928 She grad. 5-25-2012. I do not know what her job is in this Div. yet, being though I have not heard from her yet, But I am patiently waiting. It makes me so Happy to hear that its an Honor to be in this Division so whatever she does in it will make me Very PROUD.  She was in her School choir , so maybe just maybe she will be doing that , but whatever it is I will be so PROUD of her:)

Nice to meet you all :)
