I just got my letter! FYI - My son reported to GL late on Tuesday 3/6.  I live in the Chicago area. His box came within 36 hours and the letter arrived today!

Made reservations today for PIR :)  I can't wait!

Hi GeorgiaGirlfriend....where will your SR be going to A school?  Pensacola would be great for you!  This is a wonderful support and I don't know what I would do without it.  When did your SR leave?  Some in this division have recieved letters but my son was one of the last to get there so I think he was still in processing when the others were able to write.  I am hoping they are receiving mail today and will be able to write some as well.

Are you going to PIR?  I am counting down the days!

My SR is going NUKE so hell be in charleston. By then though, I'll be back at UGA so I won't be to terribly far.

I'll be at PIR! Im saving money now and picking up extra hours so I can afford a rental and my airline tickets. I won't miss this for the world!

I listened to old voicemails today from matt so I could hear him :)

Good afternoon 11/131!  By now our boys will have gotten their first mail call!!!  Hopefully he isn't too overwhelmed with the several dozen letters his family sent him!  Your recruits are probably the happiest they've been since they arrived.....If you all think about it, ask your  recruit for the names of others that don't get mail, I would like to send an encouraging card for them. The navy will not deliver it without a specific name for security reasons.....

oh, and obviously send a private message with the names.  my email is atimeforart@yahoo.com

I already sent one letter specifically asking for names of those not getting mail. I also told him todo this before he left! Hopefully I'll hear something and will let yall know!

Wow, that's great to know! I was wondering when that would happen, thanks for the information. I told my man before he left to figure out who wasn't getting mail too, hopefully we can make it so all the boys get mail regularly. (:

The 26th sounds about right but have your phone in your pocket...I have my mine on vibrate and then I seem have to leave for a moment. It is suggest to send a phone call for they will be using a pay phone and it is not cheap...That call is earned so enjoy!  I remember calling home for the first time and the lst phone call from Son#1.  Yes, you are on cloud nine it is great to hear a voice from home...

I made it through today without tears! Maybe I was just super distracted today.

Hey ladies,

I am so glad I found this group. Obviously not a mother, but my bf of 1.5 years is in this division too! We're both from Florida, and he was also in the group that left March 4th from Jax. I told his mother to join this group too, so hopefully she'll be able to participate too.  My man is going to a school in San Antonio, will anyone else's SR be there?

Maddie, I live in PCB right now working on the beach! What part are you from??

Will you be at PIR?

Tallahasse, so we're not that far. And YES! I am so excited. I went to my brother's 2 years ago for air force, so I know how awesome they are. You're going I see. It's can't come quick enough!
