Got my husband's form letter on Monday, March 5. It was postmarked on March 1, so I'm thinking it takes about 2-3 business days to get from there to Austin, Texas. Hope that's helpful for anyone.

If anyone else's loved one is in this ship/division, please let me know. He's an AECF. I don't want anyone to go without letters so I was going to ask him if there was a particularly lonely recruit and organize some sort-of letter writing campaign so no one feels left out.

What rank is he?  my is AM

Conny- My son wrote and told me that their was a couple of Sr's that were causing them extra PT..Don't know if they were rowdy but not doing what they were told do..You know there is alway one in a crowd..The whole concept is team work !

My husband wrote about this as well. Said the PO's are kinda lenient on them and joke around with them at times, but that ultimately results in them getting a little too chatty. Nothing too terrible, but they do "get beat" (not literally--he said that just means intensive sporadic PT) quite frequently lol I also heard they are working on a mural for their division! My guy has been designated as the division's artist, but they worked together on a design for their mascot, "the Warriors." So hopefully the team work is gelling now? :)

Oh no, I hope one those SR's isn't my son.  He tends to have a bit of undiagnosed ADHD.  I swear i don't know how that boy remembers his head if it wasn't already attached.  He is so smart buts lacks the common sense.  He did say in his letter they were getting yelled at alot and had to do IT.  I told his recruiter even that i was worried about his lack of organization skills and his ability to be looking at you and not hearing a word you are saying:)  I guess i will have to ask more questions to see if it's him causing all the trouble.

I'm sure it's just an overall RTC thing, nothing to worry about or pin on any one SR specifically.

Tiger- Well I guess that we are not the only DIV my son's Ship7Div129...so I guess we have a free more that needs to step up to the place:)

Haha like I was telling jjopple, I'm sure it's just the nature of the situation. Get a bunch of boys together in one area and I'm sure it tends toward the hustle and bustle of summer camp in moments of levity :P

jbr0001 oh... my son is in 7/127 ... and he said they learn to avoid the "beatings"

I am sure that they have paper work that the RDC's knows if someone has problems...and deals with that separately. No to worry..all our Sr's will  get on task. How old is your son? My is older 24..

My husband is 27. He said there a few older than him in the division but he's one of the oldest. Lots of younger guys from the South (or so I hear)...

my son is 18......

my son turned 20 3 days before he left
