I just got the letter late yesterday.  My son arrived at GL on 3/1.  I thought we might be pushing it to make the 4/27 date, but happily surprised.  Got a GREAT note on the back of the letter... Has he changed this much already that he seems to really miss us?  Wow!

Hoping to connect with other 11/134 moms.  Let me know.  :D  Hang in there!  We're gonna make it, just like our kids!  :D

Is anyone active on this blog?  I was really hoping to hear from other parents in this Ship and Division..... Wanted to know what the other SR's were saying about this Division...

Hello, My daughter arrived at GL on 3/6. Ship 11/134.  her PIR date is 4/27.  I have been on  this site several times but never seem to get a discussion going.  I have received three letters from my daughter first one hard to read, second got better and the third, well she seems to be on her way!!!  She does morning watch from 4am to 6am.  She also takes care of medical records for the division (not sure what kind of medical records????).  She is going to "A" school after graduation in San Antonio, TX. She is in Hospital Corpsman.  Well anyone have a love one in this group????????????????

@cblonder and annamomma... my son arrived at GL on 2/29 and is in the same ship and division...  I have not heard from him yet and its driving me crazy... I was real excited to read your posts about your daughters...My son will also head to Pensacola after BC for air crewman.  I was getting a little nervous cause other parents have posted other divisions near our children... the SR's had pneumonia... if anyone's child would get pneumonia... it would be mine... he is both mentally and physically strong... but always acceptable to picking up viruses... thanks ladies for the information... keep posting more...

@ cblonder  - My daughter is in the ship 11 div 134 same as yours.  I can't seem to get a discussion going either.  Happy to hear that she is doing great!!  She seems busy.  San Antonio...nice city for her school!!  Mine will go to Pensacola, FL for aircrew training.  She just got all 4 wisdome teeth pulled and in recovery getting bed rest.  Seems it is the norm to get them pulled.  We are two peas in a pod.  This is so hard....yet so so proud of her.  Can't wait for graduation!!!

my daughter is also on this ship... It is hard not knowing... I still have not recieved a letter. @cblonder or annamomma will you please find out if writing a letter is a reward or choice. I just miss her so much... This is thr longest that I have not talked to her... Lets keep the discussion going.

Yondaj30  ~  I  don't know if it is a reward or choice. I have received three letters from my daughter and her finance's mother received one letter.  I think it depends on when they find the time to write a letter.  Im sorry I cant help you with the question.  Also do you have any information about phone calls.  I thought for sure I might get a call from my daughter today and no sure luck To the group can anyone help us with letters and phone call information??????

yondaj30... my son is on the same ship and division and I have not received a letter either... :(

Ladies, if I get a letter tomorrow I will let you know.  My daughter's fiance who is a marine also has not receive a letter from her and in her letters to me  she stated her fiance hasn't written yet.  I  know he has sent her letters because we text everyday.   I wish I had an answer how some love ones are getting mail from there SR and others are not.  I just hope all our SR are doing great and working towards the great day of 04/27!!!!!!!

@cblonder1... she said that cant use the phone until they learn team work.. hopefully they can get it together soon...

@mdamon... i just got three letters from my daughter in the same envelope... she told me that she is in the split division of 133 and 134... there are having major teamwork problems... the CS is not a happy camper but he insured them that he will make sure all of them graduate on time because he has never had a late class and this division will not be his first... she says it is like they are in a sports camp because of all of the pushups they are doing... also as for the mail, if you did not fill out the envelope the way they want it, the letters are returned to them until they figure it out. so be patient... its coming soon... as of right now she said they will not get phone calls until they learn to work together... hopefully this helps... i truly understand how you feel not knowing...

Thank you for the information... At least I now know... All I can do is pray for all of them... But please keep me posted... I've only seen posts from mom with girls and not moms with the guys... Oh my!!!!

I have received 2 letters in good spirits from my daughter. She said she was gonna call this week but next week for sure she was told so answer all calls specially from 847 area code.
