While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Yeah! Finally found everyone. :) With the RTC site down for the week, I have felt out of touch. My daughter is in 02/924. Still waiting on a phone call. RTC called yesterday saying that she was on "ship deck" duty and would be calling in a few days. Not sure if that means "watch"??? I'll have to read all the previous posts to see if others have heard from their SR's. Letter from her sounds encouraging though. :)

I didn't get a letter yesterday, but I DID get a phone call!!!!! I could barely hold back the tears as I heard his voice! He says that he is doing well and that he has made a lot of great people. He also said that IT was definitely the most difficult thing he has had to do thus far. Thank you, Lord, for watching over all of them!

So glad to hear it! What is your son doing in DIV 924, musical instrument, flags, etc.? Asking because my son is on the quads, thought he might know your son.

Daniel hasn't told me that he is in this group.(Supposed to be a surprise but how could I not figure it out) My guess is that he is playing the snare drum. That's what he played in marching band and indoor drum line. He also plays marimba, but I am sure they don't have that there. You can ask Matt if he knows Daniel M from Amherst, Ohio.

Would anyone care to shed some light on how the division is doing? Especially the females. My daughter was on watch Friday night and was not able to call home. We were told we would hear from her in a few days. Well, in my book, a few days are up. lol I'm thinking it's unlikely she will be calling home. No news is good news, I know. But curiosity is killing me. I will be running to the mailbox tomorrow in hopes of a letter. But in the meantime, any thing worth sharing in detail from the calls you received? Thank you so much!!

Can't give you the 'female' perspective as I have a son but he did say that their division is awesome and really working well together. They had earned an Academic flag when we last spoke and he said that he has met a lot of nice people, both men and women.
I got the sense that DIV 924 is great and am sure that your daughter is doing well. Sad to hear that you didn't get the call as she was on duty. I suspect that we will all experience some of that along the way. Hoping that letters are coming your way. Hard to believe that we or should I say they (although it feels like we're in this too) are half way through BC. Can't wait til 4/27.

I did get letters last week and again yesterday and a call Friday. She did feel that the group was doing well and the girls where getting along. She met a lot of nice people. She will be carrying a flag for the division (has been being a "stick without a flag" till now-some sort of flag they earned.

Well, I have yet to receive a letter from Daniel, but I DID get that awesome phone call last Friday......I hope to hear from him soon.....I am sure that you all know how it feels so saying it again isn't going to make me feel better.....I miss my angel.....

Hi Tias Mom-my daughter is Christina. She seems to feel everything is going pretty well. She did colorguard in high school and is used to flipping her flag to music so she is finding Navy flags a bit boring! I say they are wasting some fine talent! She did say they get a fair amount of IT because they are a bit chatty!
