Really??! How do you know?? I want a call! Haha

I really hope they do.call

Me tooooo!

Can't wait, dttbrammer!!  I'll be very happy when you get your call so that you can fill me in!! Lol!

we just got a call from a boy in bootcamp with my son saying he will not get his phone call today:( Hope you all get some calls!

Sorry you didn't get your call dttbrammer!  I JUST GOT ONE!!  Whooo Hooo!  I'm sooo happy - he actually gave me a little info this time.  He passed his physical test and his swim test and every test he has taken. He has a TERRIBLE cold - sounds very sick.  Finally had to get some medicine.  He has not been sick in MANY years.  That was about all I got out of him!  :P

I missed my boyfriends calls and I'm beating myself up over it. :( this seriously sucks. Stupid work!!!! I'm sending him a letter right now. But does anyone know if I can send them phone cards and stamps through the letter I send them???

Yeah, the reason he called me was because his gf didn't answer..lol.  But I told him he better try her again and he did and they were able to talk about 20 minutes.  He told her time is flying by and that I've been sending him pictures which he really loves (he didn't tell me that)!

Taylor, Yes by all means send him a phonecard. I sent mine his right away, He was very happy to get it. WalMart has them near the checkouts. AT&T phonecard is best. Make sure you activate it before sending so he doesn't have to waste his call time doing that.

I actually didn't end up sending him one this time through the letter I sent him because people were telling me they don't need them cause they use payphones and I didn't know which one to get... :( if they can for sure use them than I'll send him one tomorrow! I did send him stamps though so I hope that helps. I still can't believe I missed all 5 of his calls. When I looked at my phone I just started crying but atleast he left me voicemails! Does anyone know what I can and cannot send them? Picture wise and all that. Thank you!!

It says in the Family Guide: http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/pdfs/FamilyGuide_v27JAN12.pdf

Recruits can receive anything that can fit into a standard-sized envelope and news from home might help ease some of their homesickness as well.

Resist the urge to send a care package or write on the outside of the envelope. We know you want to send your Recruit their favorite homemade chocolate chip cookies, but Recruits cannot receive these. Also, remember that the envelope will be seen by their RDC, so putting stickers or writing all over their envelopes might make your recruit uncomfortable.

I sent my son some stuff I copy pasted off the internet about bootcamp and they crumpled it up. He said NO copy/paste stuff from internet, No facebook stuff.

Oh okay that's why I asked cause I heard stuff was being thrown away. I wanna send pictures but I don't want them being thrown away. I guess he'll just tell me in his next letter. Hopefully that's Thursday.
