For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hey there! Just a place for family of SRs in Ship 09 (USS John F Kennedy) Division 146 to get together and chat, ask questions, and discuss whatever. :) I'm new to this, so anyone who has a heads up on anything regarding the ribbons (LaLa Ribbon Queen I believe is who we need to contact) and stuff like Sarge's Meet-and-greet, feel free to enlighten the rest of us!

Got letters and dependency forms yesterday! Hubs was in SIQ for couple days after having last 2 wisdom teeth pulled. Then monday of this week had a root canal. :p He said he is actually enjoying all the PT (except for "mountain climbers") and his 2nd least fav thing is standing at attention. He also said there are still quite a few recruits that just don't seem to listen to the RDCs, but one gave a lil pep talk the other night and they seem to have quieted down a bit. If they aced their test (think it was Tuesday) then that earns them another phone call!
Hoping we hear from him soon! Miss him so much!

I got a letter! My son, who went to boot camp with his hair in a pony tail, says it feels like he has Velcro on his head! Other than that, he seems to think it is going well. The showers are hot and the food is good.

your welcome wintergeen...KikiOtter, my son has four of his wisdom teeth pulled last thursday so he has like friday to catch up with his sleep and saturday..lol..he said he's waiting for his written test result and he didnt pass the swimming test..so i wonder what is going to happen with that.

I just got my first call as well!!!! My hubby sounded great too!!!! He said that some of the guys talk about this site and they all try to figure out if they know whos talking to who! lol

We all received letters from my son yesterday. His wife just called and said he just called her and they got to talk for 20 minutes. She said he's got a cold but doing well otherwise. He wishes everyone would learn to listen to the RDC's just as a lot of you have said. Happy day :-)
