Is he  USS Triton as well?

Ship 12 is the USS Triton.  It houses several different divisions. What division is your SR in? Do you have a PIR date yet? I noticed that you have RN behind your name. I am an RN as well. I work as a school nurse in a school district just outside Houston, TX.

Hi Justin's Mom-does your last name begin with an S? If so our sons became  good friends and are in racks next to each other. His name is Brendan F.I don't know how to friend invite on hear or I would have sent you a private message.

Yes it does.  He told me about it during our phone conversation on Sat., and asked if I had checked my mail!  The funny part was that he did not know anyone's first name, since they all refer to last names only.

Good morning everyone! Hopefully everyone has received "the letter" by now? My family and I have sent out many letters now to my SR...can't wait until she is able to send her first letter home! I am really hoping to receive a phone call from her sometime this week, thinking it might come on Easter Sunday?? :) I carry my phone with me at work and have it on as loud as it will go so not to miss her call...I have told everybody at work no matter what I am doing if that phone rings from a number I don't know I am answering the phone! Lol!  Hope everyone has a great day!

I was thinking and hoping the same thing about Easter Sunday.  I have been writing like a nut and I hope my daughter doesn't get have to do too many pushups for too much mail.  I am hoping for a letter from her this week.

Welcome Justin's mom. Glad to have you with us. So looks like this ship/div is a mixed one.

Where are you from and will you be attending PIR?

I am from Cape Coral, Fl and yes most definitely planning on attending.  Actually this is my third son entering the military.  The oldest was in the Air Force and the middle one was Navy, but that was quite a few years ago.  We had a bit of a gap beween the boys!

Combining the 2 groups is fine with me. I'm happy that you got a letter today.  I was hoping for a letter today also but didn't get one. Probably won't have mail delivery tomorrow since it is Good Friday. However, will check the mail again on Saturday. I just realized yesterday that she didn't take stamps with her. I almost cried! I mailed some today. Maybe she has made a friend that  let her borrow a stamp until I can get some to her. Still hoping for a phone call this weekend.

I have a 4 day weekend and am so ready for it.  My husband is off work tomorrow also and we are planning to do yard work. I am looking forward to being able to have "coffee time" with my husband tomorrow morning. It has been a long time since we've been able to do that because he has been working a lot of weekends.

Hope you are all having a great day today and will check in with everyone again later tonight or tomorrow.

My daughter didn't have stamps and we got three letters.  I was thinking that I wouldn't hear from her till she got the stamps I sent her, but she must have gotten them there because they were different stamps.

Hugs, enjoy your coffee time. I wonder if they want combines, even if they are brother groups?

I can't  believe it is after 1100 already! My husband and I enjoyed our coffee time this morning. It was a nice, cool morning and so peaceful listening to the birds (atleast until the neighbor decided to crank his Tejano music around 0830!). Started spring cleaning in my kitchen this morning and hubby is getting ready to mow the grass. We have the windows open and the  fans on.  Planning to grill steaks for dinner. What an awesome day so far!

Hope you are all having a great day. It feels like a Saturday instead of Friday because we aren't at work. I hope the rest of the weekend is as great as today.  Of course, the icing on the cake would be a phone call from our daughter (or letter would work).  I am glad to hear that they can still send letters if they didn't take stamps of their own.

I bought "bunny ears" yesterday. Planning to put them on the cat and granddog and take pictures to send to our daughter. I will take a picture with our granddog (our daughter's dog) and my husband will take a picture with the cat. lol. Figured she might as well have cute pictures of us. Hoping our son ,who lives in Oklahoma, will have someone take a picture of him to send to his sister. I am looking forward to having pictures of her in her Navy dress uniform. I will proudly display that picture in my office along with all the other ones I have of her from her school days.

Well, I'm going to shut-up for now. lol.  Talk to you all again later.
