OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

As our SAILORS embark on the next leg of their journey, we thank you Lord for the strength and peace that carried us this far. Reveal to our SAILORS the future and hope that you have planned for them. Remind us each day that we can place our loved ones securely in your hands. May you daily remind us to cast our cares on you for you care for us. And tonight may we sleep soundly knowing that nothing can seperate us from you love. amen.

Shari, I hope Ali got on her way to Florida and you enjoyed your time together. It was so great to see you and meet your family. I am very sincere in saying that you really must consider writing a prayer book. You bring me to tears. You always seem to say what God knows I need to hear for the day. Miss you friend.

so great to see you too...can you believe how we "just happened" to bump into each other?! amazing!!!

...when i read back through the blessings i am blessed by God's word returning to me also!...it all comes from the bible...when i read back over some of kelly's caringbridge journal writings i can't believe those words came from within me either- glad i have a "holy ghost" writer for help : ) ((hug))

i wrote this a few weeks back... (with help from the holy spirit, of course)...and thought you might enjoy it:

Tonight as you surrender mind, body and soul … may you be aware of all that was good in your world today. Let the cares of the day be only a blur... And as you release their grip on your life, may you be filled with abundant peace. Breathe deeply as you sink into your pillow knowing that you are resting in the arms of the One who never sleeps nor slumbers...Sweet dreams my friends...
