Hi Marcs mom, is your SR in this division as well? Ship 12/Div 149?

Yes my son is Kats fiance. We have only gotten the box of dirty cloths, phone and the form letter so far. I hope they are all doing well.

I got some interesting info today! It's below:
We advise all who have sailors flying out to try to book your flight back later Sat night or Sunday---those with GL A School students should book back on Sunday night/Monday if possible since they get daytime Sat and Sun liberty.

However, in one PIR group, they found out that their Pensacola sailors will be flying out on Monday.  Unusual to hold them through the weekend, but it happens.  So the longer you can stay through the weekend, the better just in case more time with your sailors!  It could have been that the Pensacola sailors flying on Monday were the ones PIRing Easter weekend (this week)...flights full.  Can't remember for sure which group it was, but for holiday weekends, many times the sailors have to wait go get flights later in the weekend or Monday.

I know my son is flying out on Saturday. He saw it in his paperwork when he called on Wed. For passport.

I just changed my flight to monday morning :)

and you guys should connect with the RTC facebook page http://www.facebook.com/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand

Hi this is all new to me. My son Nick is also in this division. We have not heard anything since he arrived. Starting to make travel plans anybody have tips? Has anybody received a letter yet?

Hi Heidi! Welcome!  I don't believe anyone in our division has received a letter yet.  One of the moms got a phone call for security clearance purposes, but that is all the contact so far.  We have already made our travel arrangements and are staying at the Ramada and attending Sarge's Meet & Greet the night before graduation. According to multiple posts, Sarge is supposed to be a wealth of information and will prepare us for what's coming. Glad you found us!

Has anything gotten anything yet? I'm getting jealous reading others posts! :P

I got a phone call!!!!  It was about 40 minutes ago and I was in the middle of Target:)  He sounded great, like he was smiling on the phone.  He said they get up at 4am and their group has TONS of IT - like 5 hours a day.  He's in pretty good shape anyway, but he said some of the workouts are like P90X on steroids.  He hurt one of the arches in his foot pretty badly, so please pray for that.  Letters and pictures printed on paper are MUCH APPRECIATED - that is their only link with the outside world.  He wanted me to post his address on Facebook so all his friends could write to him as well.  My mother's heart is bursting with joy and I am so happy and proud of him!!! @BCMOM - he says he sleeps very near your son and knows him.  Cool beans!

I got a phone call too! My husband got the call at work Nick said he had 15 mins. my husband new i would be upset so he drove down the street to my work and came running in with the cell phone saying Nick's on the phone we were laughing. He sounded really good, eating well , had his wisdom teeth removed said it went well, I am more upset that i was not with him  for that. He said  the letters were mailed yesterday, and write write write . I am sooo happy he sounded good one more month and we will see our boys!

I got a call too. I am still over the moon :)
