Hi Matt'a Mama, yes, my daughter Tia is on ship 02 Div 924, I got mail again from her today, maybe they are now allowed to send mail out on days other than Sunday , Woot Woot

Hi yes my daughter Christina said in her letter today that they are able to send a letter everyday now!!

Thats GREAT, I cant wait for mail tomorrow then,(keeping my fingers crossed)

Hoping for some news this week from Matt!  He has been doing great at writing but not much new to report.  I couldn't be prouder of him though as he has been writing his grandparents, aunts and uncles, and friends.  It has been fun to hear them share his news with me via their letters.

Sure hope that I hear some more news from him this week!  We are on countdown, Navy moms!  It will now be here before we know it.

Received two letters today from Matt, Yea!

Letter dated 4/5/12 - Div 924 has received all of their fitted dress uniforms and service tans and took their individual pictures.  They can order pics this week.  They have earned the privilege to write more on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well as Sunday.

Letter dated 4/9/12 - Said that today (4/9/12) begins week 5, day 1.  Div 924 has earned the Academic and I think Athletic flags (couldn't read his writing).  They will be doing fire training/safety this week.  Started practicing cadences last Friday, 4/6.  Says that Div 924 continues to work well and they are getting excited for PIR.  Said that Easter Sunday was great.  And the best news of all, he said that he should be getting a phone call sometime this week, either Tuesday or Friday!  Hope that means that other 924 moms will get one as well!

Oh that is music to my ears. I would love a phone call. My daughter was on ship staff duty when the division made their previous call home. We got a call from RTC saying that she was on duty and we would get a call in a few days. Well...that never happened. She was not given an opportunity to make up the call and has no idea if/when she will be given an opp. So NO phone calls this whole time. UGGGG! I live for mail. :) Please share if you hear from Matt. :)

Let's hope that Friday brings us a phone call.  I sure hope that you get one since you missed the last.  She should be first in line for the phones if they allow them to call on Friday.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thank you so much!!! :)

MattsMama-It's so nice they are doing well-still waiting from my mail today. Fingers crossed. Christina has also been great about writing her family besides us. As time goes on I really miss her. Can Not wait for the 27th!

Saw in my email that you received more news from Christina but couldn't find your post here.  Glad to hear it.  They now have 4 flags, that is great!  Do you know which flags they earned?  Sounds like she picked up weapons training quite easily, good for her.

We are in countdown mode now.  Looking forward to meeting you at Sarge's MNG.

they have the scholastic, athletic and zone flags, and one more she can't remember what it is

Hello, Matts Mama, thanks for sharing. I will not let my phone leave my side until the weekend..LOL What is cadences? Sorry but this is my first go around. Tia said they were talking about OC spray and I dont know what that is either, do you know?
