Hey there! Just a place for family of SRs in Ship 09 (USS John F Kennedy) Division 146 to get together and chat, ask questions, and discuss whatever. :)  I'm new to this, so anyone who has a heads up on anything regarding the ribbons (LaLa Ribbon Queen I believe is who we need to contact) and stuff like Sarge's Meet-and-greet, feel free to enlighten the rest of us!

Curious about WHERE exactly at RTC your recruits barracks are? Check out this diagram of the RTC.

Happy belated anniversary! Sorry I didn't get on the computer last night (too tired!). Like you, I'm hoping the next 4 weeks just FLY by! Miss hubs so much! As I know we all miss our recruits. Before you know it, we'll be getting the "I'm a sailor!!!" call! Can't wait!

OK ladies, one month to go.  It will go fast!

Yes!! just 3 more weeks to the "Im a Sailor" call !!

Got this week's letter today! :) Hubs sounds to be doing well! And they finally got a flag! Their division average on the test was 4.12 (or 4.21, can't remember now) out of 5! Up next is the Olympic flag. Only 10-15 can fail the PFA for them to get it.

Crossing my fingers! Earning those flags seem to help morale!

Got my letter as well!  Hubby said that they are now allowed to write Tues, Thurs, and Sunday now!  Hopefully that makes time go by even faster!  He really enjoys getting those letters!  And I enjoy writing them!  He says they make him feel like hes at home with us!  And that the next scheduled call is May 4! But Im hoping that they can earn a call before then!  And that the division is slowly coming together as a team!  Cant wait til the 11th when we can all see our Sailors!  : )

Ah-ha! You're the other Michigander wife! lol Hubs mentioned a couple different times that one of the guys was from Michigan and has a wife and child.  There is another also from Michigan, but don't think he was married. Then again...that may have been the one from Cali he was talking about. Been trying so hard to keep everyone sorted out in his letters! I get so confused sometimes (his messy handwriting doesn't help).

awww...KIkiOtter that might be my son from Cali..He mention something to his wife that he has been showing his friends a picture of his daughter..lol. Hope we all get to meet on PIR or meet and greet..

Not me. but Im happy for you guys!! maybe tomorrow. :)

No letter today either, Im wondering if Hi is Ok!? :(

My hubby said in his letter that like 1/3 of the division had their wisdom teeth taken out and that a lot of them were sick and had pink eye...

Yeah! When we talk he was getting sick and he told me that he get pink eye there!

Ugh, I keep hearing of people getting pink eye.  A cousin in Florida had it last week, I wonder if it is making a real comeback, or if social media just makes it easier for me to know about all the cases of it?  Probably just better communication, not more pink eye.  I didn't realize the SR's would get such extensive dental, medical care, I think that's great.
