Hi there: Great news! I'm looking into hotel/air tonight. We have 4 people going - me, the Hubby, and two of my SR's uncles. I'm thinking of looking into that 2-room suite that was mentioned somewhere on here. Have you received any letters from your SR other than the form letter? Missing my SR but hanging in there - we're almost 1/2 way there!!! Ann-Marie

Ann-Marie, we have 4 going also. My Husband (dad) and myself along with our two other children. They live about 3 1/2 hours from us so we are driving over to them adn all flying together. This helps as its about $250. per person cheaper to fly out of thier airport than ours. I'm looking at a 2 bedroom also but will take 2 queens if I have to. Havent heard from my daughter either. I have sent her 6 letters this week. I do miss her bunches.  I am one lucky mom though, I have a friend that works up ther and he actually processed her in. He is keeping me informed on how she is doing. Although he always says "shes doing fantastic" i think he would say that even if she wasn't as not to worry me. I hope you hear from your son soon. It's it nice to be almost 1/2 way!!

:) Just booked the hotel - did the Residence Inn Waukegan - 2 bedroon suite with kitchenette for $179 + tax. Not sure we'll use the kitchenette but it didn't seem too bad a price, especially since the uncles should help pay for the place! Airfares out of Boston are about $195 R/T to Ohare and $295 R/T on Southwest to Midway. I'm currently weighing the option of paying $100 more per person "just in case" something goes wrong and the PIR date changes. This is b/c SW doesn't charge a change fee where the other airlines do. It's sort of like travel insurance but I'm leaning towards the $195 deal. Just looked at rental cars too and we are thinking about a SUV - we have 3 guys over 6 feet tall to squeeze in - but it's still only about $225 for that. Getting excited here!

Wow, how great to know someone at GL! If they ever mention a kid named Josh - especially if it is not necessarily good news - please let me know. I'm hoping no news is good news here! Keep smiling!

I'm looking at Residence Inn also. My son works for Best Western so we are waiting to see if he can get us a better deal. We are flying out of Myrtle Beach ($211.00) instead of Charlotte ($498.00) via SPIRIT AIR even with the insurance its still way cheaper. We are flying up Wed. night because the flight is so late in the evening. That will give us all day thursday to find our way around adn plan the rest of our trip. VERY excited!!!!!

Im staying at the RI - booked my reservation the day after my daughter left for BC.The 2 bdrms are sold out, but they have 1 bdrm suites that have a queen and a pull out sofa - you can request a rollaway also.  Hope I get to meet my daughters fellow SR mommies!

Hi Girls! We (4 of us - momma, step-daddy, granny and SR boyfriend) are driving up from Kansas City on Wed morning, spending the day in Chicago - doing the double decker tour bus, then to GL Thursday afternoon, hopefully to meet many of you at Sarge's Meet and Greet! We are staying at the Residence Inn also - can't wait to see some familiar faces!!  God speed SR's - we are so proud!!   Andrea

still no letter. The mailman looked at us like we were crazy today, my husband were racing to the mail box and guess what we got nothing he only stopped to pick up the letters I was mailing to her. He felt so bad he didn't have anything for us and wished us luck...Bless his heart..
