Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Bootcamp
My son left for bootcamp on Wednesday and I've been crying off and on ever since. I feel so lost not beling able to call him, FB him or contact hm in any way. I never thought it would be this difficult. I'm really struggling. I'm not worried about his safety, just feel so disconnected, like he's gone forever. He is my firstborn too, maybe that's it? I don't know, but he reached this milestone that I feel like I wasn't prepared for. Anyone else feel like that?

Hi all... Just wanted to let you all know about a great program for Recruits. CallsforRecruits.org has FREE phone cards for recruits in bootcamp. If you or someone you know is leaving soon for bootcamp, go to the website and get some phone cards for them to use while they are at BC. They can use them at A school or anytime if they need them, although most people have cell phones these days LOL. Just thought I would pass along the info....

Mine did too and he's my second born (baby) and I feel like a part of me has just gone away. I haven't been able to talk to him since his arrival....he just texted me when he was leaving for airport....i'm worried sick because i thought they were given a five min phone call to let us know he was ok....i've been crying like a baby for the past two days.....

did your son go to great lakes illinois? mine left last...well let's say he should have left tues the 3rd...due to weather problems he actually left shreveport, la on thursday, the 5th...i got my call around 12:06 am fri morning...so yes you should have received your phone call...maybe his cell was down but i believe they should have other phones in the room...i received his "box" on monday...i pray you hear something soon...let us know and so sorry you have not heard "yet"...hang in there! it's been a week today and i'm still crying at night time.

i know exactly how you feel...today makes a week ago my son arrived in great lakes and i still have a crying spell at night time...they say it gets better and i'll be glad when it does...we are just "moms" and there's nothing to change that...it's ok...it's going to be ok!! think positive and do your best to think of the good times you had together and the good times you're gonna have when he comes home on leave...wish i could say more positive for ya but this is my first and only time for this new adventure...we can do this!!

4 weeks into BC and it does get easier! Just got our first real letters yesterday and they were Glorious!!!!

HI EVERYONE I GUESS YOU CAN SAY I HAVE BEEN VERY LUCKY. MY DAUGHTER LEFT FEB 28TH AND SHE HAS CALLED HOME 4 TIMES . AND IT DOES NOT GET BETTER, I MISS HER MORE BUT THE CRYING GETS BETTER AND WHEN YOU START GETTING LETTERS IT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL SO MUCH BETTER.SHE WILL GRADUATE APRIL 27TH AND I CANT WAITE..... I AM SO VERY PROUD OF HER AND ALL THE CHILDREN IN OUR MILTARY FOR THERE SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY AND YES IT IS VERY HARD TO LET THEM GO BUT I THINK IT IS HARDER ON THEM TO LEAVE.. ALL OF YOU HANG IN THERE IT WILL BE TIME FOR THERE GRADUATION BEFOR U NO IT... LOVE OUR NAVY

Hang in there boot camp Moms it does get better, my son is now in pensacola Graduate on March 30th from Great lakes, and he can call me when ever he wants in the evenings,so just hang in there Graduation is just around the corner, I found out it was harder on me then him. I worried to much. A school is awesome for parents, we hear whats happening from our sailors when things happen, so my advice is enjoy the ride!! and dont send any embaressing photos or musical cards to your sailors, it will cost them push ups:) lol...

When your so graduated when did they fly him out? I am trying to make plans but not sure if they will fly him out Sat morning or not..
