Ship 12/Div 149 rocks! Yea for our soon to be sailors :D
I bet all you ladies have received wonderful letters. Please tell me what they say as my son sent 2 to his best friend and none to us. I will keep writing and try not to let my hurt feelings show.....yet!

OH NO! I am so sad for you:(  I already told you all of our details but will let you know what else I find out if he decides to write again.  Hang in there! He loves you!

I wish I could get a letter.  I am currently in England and he's not allowed to write me.  It's hard....

Hi all!  Is there anyone who knows any inexpensive hotels near the base?  I will be coming in from England, and it's difficult to find hotels from here.  Thanks for any help!

Hi groupies..ha! Still no letter for me. One of my son's friends sent me letter highlights and he was in charge of some recruits until he slipped on sweat and had light duty 2 days. He is now the religious petty officer and loves it! He told her he gets to ralk about God all day. Hopefully, this will help him be inspired and inspire others. he passed his survival at sea class (he is a great swimmer but cant float so sure that was a hoot), but failed his personal fitness test....please pray for him to get moving and pass that. He was in such good shape until he went off to TX A&M last year....laziness set in :(
@Vanessa....wow...England! That's awesome. The navy bootcamp graduation pg has a site you can search from to find some pkg deals. We went with Holiday Inn Express as it had breakfast everyday and two queen beds and sofa bed...we needed lots of room....my boys are 6'4" and 6'7" so it was perfect and shuttle to meet & greets and $3 shuttle to PIR. I cant wait!

So your SR is now the religious petty officer?  Forgive my ignorance:)  And, if yes, what does that mean exactly?  I'm sure he will pass his PFA - he's still in there!  He can do it:)

Well, I am pretty sure he helps at chapel and I guess helps the chaplain in any way he can with the recruits. His A school is IT...( computers not the punishment..ha) and I know it involves computer work as well. He has always been very active in church...his love along with music. He started out in some type of leadership position in their group..in charge of some of the recruits until he slipped on sweat and hurt knee and went on light duty 2days. This is his new job and he loves this one. I know he went in some type of higher rank due to all his college hours but not sure what it was...E2? E 3?? I have a hard time keepin up with the lingo, etc! I am prety sure they will all encourage him and they will get him where he needs to be. He had the light duty then the days off for wisdom teeth out so a little behind. Thanks for your encouragement!
Still NO letters home! Soooo sad! Any news from your guys?

No, I have not received anything else either!  Still sending letters though....

we have not received anything new, but still sending letters too.i hope they didn't get into trouble again.

I am getting the feeling our SR's are getting into trouble and that's why they've had such minimal contact with us.  Hope they get it together if so!  I am dying to know how my SR is doing!!!
