Well color me the lucky one.....my SR was the one on watch last Wed (Apr 4th) when division went to make their calls home. They had some issue and got IT but he said being on watch spared him that. Still, said it was so hard to watch them all head out to make calls and not get to go with.
I know that several of others didn't get calls, but he didn't mention if they would get another opportunity. His last letter was dated Apr 7th and he was hopeful another chance would come, but no promises.
Hope to talk to you all later - got business meeting over dinner tonight with my boss in town from Pittsburgh. Might be tomorrow before I catch up again.

I got two letters from Jacob today. Unfortunately him and some of the other boys got wisdom teeth removed last wednesday when the division was able to make calls. So he was SIQ. :( Im hoping maybe the division will do well as a whole and maybe get to make a extra call! In other news, I cannot wait until PIR! Jacob will be going to Pensacola for 34 weeks for A school, and unfortunately may be boarding a plane just hours after graduating, but we will hope for the best!
I got several letters from my husband. The great news is he passed his swim test!!! Also, they got their dress whites and blues and will be able to write on Tuesdays and Thursdays now. Super happy, now if only i got a call :)
Does anyone know if they will grant someone paternity leave or allow them to be there for the birth of their child while they are in "A" school. Also what if they arent married?
Hey everyone - no letter today for me; but I was blessed with 4 on Wed, so I am not complaining. I hope that the guys will continue to grow and become a team as they move towards their goals. Wishing them all the best and that IT will slow down as they get their groove as a unit.
Have a happy weekend everyone...

I got a letter today. The boys are having their division inspection, or may have already had it this week, they have their second PFA, and their second knowledge test on the 17th from what my SR said. He didnt say much else except that days are flying by. Can't wait for it all to be over!
I havent gotten a call yet. Although Im really hoping maybe not all the boys in the division have called yet I'm gonna still hope I get lucky~
I think that with the GI Bill you pay into it and have to be in for x amount of time. With the Post 911 if you become disabled or spend x amount of time in Navy you get automaticlly. That is how I understand it...
I got a call!!!! I think it was almost 20 minutes :D
Received my phone call today. My SR sounded great. Although he said he had to do IT because he was helping someone and spoke out of turn. Oh well I'm sure he's learning. My SR told me that he did not pass one of his PFA's but he said he'll have another chance. I'm concerned that this will discourage him. I'll keep my fingers crossed he does better next time.
Rachel 11/142- hope you got your call today also
Lynette.
OMG!!! I got my call today!!! My boyfriend, sorry my fiance (omg he proposed and we are gonna get married after his "A" school!!!!!!!!!!!) is doing amazing. He passed both PFAs with flying colors and so far all inspections!!!!! It was so good to hear his voice!!! Even if he was losing it due to singing cadence all the time!!!!!! I am so proud of him!!!!!! He said next phone call (if division behaves) will be within a week or 2!!! YAY!!!
Brandy - Congratulations!
tatertoddsmom - glad you got a call too. Praying for your son to pass his PFA. I know they all have a big test on Monday (I think written.) Hope and pray they all do well!
