anyone get a phone call,a letter, anything? Has anyone heard if there are more moms of this div signing up for N4M?
The mail did bring a letter from our SR yesterday but it was for his 6 yr old sister. He was trying to be the sagely older brother but she saw right through it. "We" wrote back and she told him that he was the best brother ever and not to worry, God was with him. ah, the mouth of babes.....!
we have received a phone call and a letter tohis brother the week before easter weekend and a recent letter to mom. it seems there is a lot of supervision at night so writing time is limited. he sounded really good though. already looking forward to what's to come.
I received another letter today from my son. Things seem to be going fairly well. He spoke to me several times briefly. Strictly business calls concerning contact information that he needed for background check, but it was wonderful to hear his voice. He is receiving our letters and says that they lift him up. We have received 8 letters so far. I am thankful for each one.
Just found out from a seasoned mom, that "hellweek" at bootcamp is also call "ricky rumor". Just means they are very busy. not really a hell week per say. So anyone got a call since the security call for info? My last letter he said he would call...but nadda..
Glad to hear that some of you are getting letters!!!. I wonder if this div had to take any of the baby groups aboard or if the ones that are not pulling their weight are part of the old div? I would hope that at this stage that what they aren't doing is unintentional?
aj---my son hasn't said anything about baby groups so not sure what the deal is here. He is serious about this thing so he's doing everything possible to get to his dream. Just some crazy stuff going on....and so late into the program.
yeah pjay it seems pretty late for these SRs to be having this kind of trouble. I know that my SR is spread pretty thin with some extra duties but would still not want to be the screw up for whole group. Did your SR happen to mention who the culprit(s) might be. (crossing fingers that it is not my SR)
Wasn't sure that baby groups would be woven in since it is spec ops but was trying to figure out how this might occur. And of course with no letters, I don't know how it is going from my SR's perspective.
Sorry aj I totally missed your reply here. My SR did not mention any names. I'm sure everything will be fine. And I'm with you on the baby groups...I don't think they would do that in Spec Ops but not sure.
WOW that is great, congratulations. Yes, still no phone call ... just the one for security info. Did you get to spend much time with him? after PIR..There really is not much info on the 800 divs
