Hey there! Just a place for family of SRs in Ship 09 (USS John F Kennedy) Division 146 to get together and chat, ask questions, and discuss whatever. :)  I'm new to this, so anyone who has a heads up on anything regarding the ribbons (LaLa Ribbon Queen I believe is who we need to contact) and stuff like Sarge's Meet-and-greet, feel free to enlighten the rest of us!

Curious about WHERE exactly at RTC your recruits barracks are? Check out this diagram of the RTC.

What does it mean that he wasn't able to re-class?  Does that mean that he signed up for one job, but wanted another, and they had told him at MEPS he could change?

Yeah. He will have to stay undesignated. He is so disappointed, and I am just mad that he was lied to. We are trying to be positive maybe he will find something he likes better. Either way I love him and very proud of him.
I don't know what A school is, but I certainly wish him the best. Since he is clever, I'm sure he will find a way to be extraordinary in his role. I'm sorry for him, and hopes he is able to still get challenge out of his travels. Hugs to you!

Thanks for the kind words. I am sure it will all work out...

He may not have the greatest job to start with, but being undesignated they may move him around to fill some spots as needed. Once his first term is up though, he'll know exactly what he wants to sign for because he's got to see them all from the sidelines, or he may even decide he really really likes the position they put him in. You just never know.

He will be fine, It`s just that mom in me, that never stops worrying...

Got another letter today! Marlinspike was Thursday. Hubs said they did average. They also got another flag! They did good on their PFA's, that's how they got their second flag. They're starting to get a little better at teamwork, but some of the younger guys "just don't seem to understand the chain of command" and argue or speak out of turn or something. Hubs said his least favorite thing is ironing, and mountain climbers (when they do PT).

Makes me so happy to know he's doing well! His 1 1/2 time is like 11mins 40 secs, so he's excited about that! Satisfactory for his age he had to get in under 14 mins. So proud of his progress! This time last year he was probably about 80 pounds heavier. So so sooooooo happy he's gotten himself healthy and into healthy habits this past year!

That is good to hear,I am sure it`s hard to get 70 to 80 strangers to trust each other and work together. Have you been looking at the picks on facebook no sign of Div. 146, but I do keep looking.

I got one also! Great news as well he is doing ok, he said same thing about the teamwork and still talking when they are not support to, but like he said is just 3 more weeks! I'm happy that he is doing good, He still writing me about how much he miss me and love me. Awww!! Lol great night to all. hope y'all receive great news!!

I got another letter today, much better than the last, completed 2 PFA and passed. Not sure what you need to pass his run was 10:49 I guess that is good since I would not be able to run 1 1/2 mile in that time, I am not sure I could run at all.LOL He says we should be getting another call soon, which I think is great... Counting down the days only 22 left:)

Where do you look on FB, cutepups?  I tried searches but came up with so many options that I didn't know what to choose.  Thanks, too, to you and Joann M (and others!) who share news, my son doesn't write much and I very much appreciate everyone keeping me posted. (I'm not complaining, he's a great kid in many ways.  He doesn't say much, so I'm not surprised that he doesn't write much.)  So, it's great to get the news vicariously!

Welcome ! I feel you my husband doesn't said much either. I just keep asking thing That I'm learning here Lol!
