My SR son wrote a letter to his sister that had some pretty encouraging words.  He is enthusiastic about BC, as this exerpt indicates:  "Every Friday a few divisions graduate and it's motivating to see them happy to be done and seeing them in their dress blues.  I'm starting to enjoy it here.  This is my new home.  I miss home back in Washington, but I'd rather be here than any other place."  That does my heart so much good.  (Then he goes on to talk about how it seems like prison there because they are not allowed to speak to one another most of the time.  It doesn't dampen his enthusiasm though.)

Wishing all of you ladies the best.  Our guys are going to make it!

Its Monday and another day closer to PIR ..... I still haven't received a call .. but Im sure he is busy,....  No news is always good news right ! lol .... I am still hoping that it will come though lol .... looking forward to more letters this week... I hope everyone had a great weekend !!

Have a blessed week guys !!

@Jaimers, I'm sorry  you haven't gotten a call.  Hopefull you will this week.  Our son called last Tuesday, so maybe Tuesday's are the day?!

It's so exciting to get the letters from our son.   He definitely is enjoying the challenge, but I'm sure ready to have this part of the challenge done!  I look forward to every Thursday.

Has anyone downloaded the questionaire found on this website and sent it to their son?  I did, didn't think he would enjoy doing it, but surprisingly, he said it was a great idea.  I don't remember where I found it, if anyone knows, could you let everyone know the link?  Maybe some of your SR's would also like to complete it for you.

Enjoy the rest of your day navyformoms friends, we're getting closer to seeing our sweet children!

Good morning Ladies,

Appreciate all the info.

I did speak with his recruiter, he called me back stating that he will be transferred to the barracks, then be transfered to San Diego and that he will have the weekend free. I'm hoping that this is so.....lol.  I did book until Sunday.  thought I would have gotten a call last night, maybe tonight.  Wishing we all receive letters today, phone calls would be surperb!.

Have a great day!

WOOO I received 2 letters today... found out why no calls.... he had his wisdom teeth pulled ... He is doing well ... good group of guys... catching up on sleep and study while on SIQ & LLD.. He said last Thursday was ID pics day.. also an active seal came and spoke with them .. about pre-buds... also advised them that they will have transition leave after pre-buds 2 weeks... YAY!!  ..... Im so looking forward to PIR and cant hardly contain myself lol ..... Ive started packing already .... not counting today 19 days until we leave lol ...... sooooo excited !!!

Transition leave after PreBuds? That is something new. I think it sounds like a really good idea.

My son's letter today also mentioned that he gets two weeks at home before he reports to SWCC training in SD. I'm not sure if the RDC's are messing with their heads or are actually giving them the truth but here's hoping for a nice two weeks ahead with him shortly in the near future!! And I still can't wait to hig him at PIR 5/11/12--- hooyah!

Good point Stacey.

I am looking into it to see if this is something new. Ya never know.

Thanks for checking sjtina,,,, let us know what you find out :)

Three more Fridays till PIR!!!  So excited to see my SWCC son! Now only if that RDC would give them another round of phone calls :D

I also am very excited to see my SWCC son.  Only one call here, but three letters.  Guess I can do anything for 3 more weeks.
