Boot Camp Mom's Prayer

God bless my recruit as he meets this day

I pray that he has the strength to find his way

As reveley wakes him so loud and clear

I pray your love will lead him, and he will show no fear

If there's danger and if there's strife

Please send Angels to guard his life

Keep him safe and hold him near

Bless my recruit, I hold him dear

Until he moves on to PIR day

Bring peace to our hearts

And strength to our faith

Yes, the Lord is awesome and his love does endure forever!  Thanks for writing that, it helps more than you know!

NavyBlue, I'll be praying for a speedy recovery so he can get back on course.

I just read your post, I'm sorry to hear that, and I hope he is feeling better quickly. I send best wishes and prayers to your SR and your family.

Hi, I just wanted to say, 'Thank You' to you and your students for writing our SRs. I think it is great that you helped them to see how such a small gesture can make a big difference to someone. That was a very nice thing for you, and them, to do. Thank your students for taking the time to make someone's day so much brighter.

Navy Blue I am SO sorry to hear about your son. Do you think he will need surgery? My prayers are with him. I will put him on the prayer chain in church as well. Are you OK? Prayers go out to you also.

s:)'s that's wounderful that some SRs wrote back to your students. I know I can't but I sure would love to hear those letters. My SR told me about all the letters that came from your students. He thought it was great. Not sure if he got one though.

Hi ladies,

I don't know if I messed up, or that's just the way this works. It looks like it doesn't go in any particular order when you reply, and I know I get a little confused when trying to navigate through this site. I wanted to ask which meet and greet you are talking about, since I found 3 on this site for our PIR date. Thanks

navyblue, will be praying for your son and all of our sons. Cait this site can be frustrating but it has helped every single one of us to get through this process.  If it wasnt for here i wouldnt know what was going on.  I can not wait to meet everyone at PIR

When you're missing your Sailor -- Light a Blue Candle!

A wonderful way to honor Sailors anytime, anywhere ....during Boot, PIR, specialized  training, deployment or when you're just thinking about your your loved one on distant shores.

Don't forget holidays, family events or birthdays too -

Blessings to all our Sailors

Hey ladies, got my third letter yesterday and was informed they can now write on Tuesdays and Thursdays in addition to Sunday :) Was very happy to hear about that! My SR was very excited about the class writing them letters and he was mostly thrilled with the fact his girl had the same name as me- he couldn't believe it! I am so thankful that we all have this oppertunity to use this website! Also, I sure hope your son gets to feeling better- I know he probably doesn't like knowing he will be delayed. Hopefully, with all the helpful prayers for you and your son NavyBlue that he will recover in no time and won't have a delay. You ladies have a great night and hope everyone is doing well!!

Cait J,

It was amazing how many of the SR who wrote back to the kids seemed to match the hobbies or types of animals or sports that the students have! It has been such a special experience for all of us!

S, I would of been crying with every single letter. Were you able to keep back the tears? It must of been very emotional.

That's fantastic! I know everyone enjoyed their sweet letters from the kids and it sure made his day! You are very special to have made that happen for the guys! :)
