Hi, I received a letter  from Colin today....said the  graduation ceremony on the 13th was nerve wracking, but they got through it.... then right after the ceremony they  went through the gas chamber!, said this week was the final push. Anyone hear any updates this week? My letter is dated the 15th... east coast snail mail

I have only gotten 2 letters from mine about 2 weeks apart. Last I received was just over 2 weeks ago. I get updates from a couple other mothers otherwise I wouldn't know anything at all.

Received more news from Matt.  Says he liked weapons training, got Sharpshooter level.  Likes the classroom training, said that instructors are great.  Said schedule as of late has been like this...

0600 - Rise and shine

0630 - Chow

0800 - 1130 - Performance Practice

1200 - Chow

1300 -1430 - Firefighting

1530 - Testing (didn't say what kind of testing)

1700 - Chow and evening routines

Sounds exicted for BS and is looking forward to Captain's Cup which is today.  Good news is that it has stopped raining here in Chicago and we can see the sun today.  However, it is very chilly, only about 35 right now.  Brrr.

Less than one week to go.  Hoping to meet many of you next week.

Hi MattsMama et all,

I changed my flight to arrive @  O'Hare @ 3 PM Iish on Thursday..  any idea how long it will take to arrive to the Comfort Inn  GL and meet @ Sarge's ?   I know they will achieve the Captian's Cup knowing what stellar ladies and gents we have raised!!! Go Ship 02 Div 924!!!!! Look forward to meeting our Navy family!!!

It's about 30-35 miles or so from O'hare to RTC.  You may be hitting rush hour so I'd suspect it will take a good hour or so to get there.  See you at Sarge's MNG.

I got a surprise 5 min phone call from Tia, she said they did well at Captains Cups and that shes passed everything. Cant wait to get through BS and get her call home on Tuesday. I was so excited. Did anyone else get calls?

Check out the pics from Friday's PIR.....

Where???

Sorry...go to main page for our PIR...scroll down and Select "Pictures from TG24". On that page scroll down to Crazy blonde's reply...there is a link from TraceJ....her son's PIR was 4/20. Great pics there....my son is one of the snare drummers!

Gosh I'm glad we got Trace's pics, I just couldn't seem to get more tho. I tried. hopefully more will post soon.

got my last letter today!  Sounds like all is going well with testing and PFA. Now just waiting for that I'm a sailor call. Can't wait till we all get that one!

Can't wait till you all get your "I'm a Sailor" calls. How exciting!!!

I'm so happy for all of you! You are all heading out to your PIR. Congrats to you and your new SAILORS!!! :)

I'm sure you all saw how hard I tried to get us Performance Divisions some pics from the last 2 graduating classes, (that our SRs had performed at) but I just didn't have much luck. I tried! LOL! I tried!. We all were just hoping for a glimpse of our SRs performing for the previous PIRs.

So...Now it's YOUR turn, I'm here to ask you, (the shoes finally on your feet, LOL!) PLEASE will you share some pics of the Performance Division with us? :) I'll be watching your page round the clock (You've all been here, done that, LOL!) Hoping for a glimpse of my SR performing at your PIR. (He's on the snare drum) Hoping someone has a spare moment to snap a pic and share it.

THANK YOU! Safe travels to all, and LOVE them Sailors!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
