I just got the letter late yesterday. My son arrived at GL on 3/1. I thought we might be pushing it to make the 4/27 date, but happily surprised. Got a GREAT note on the back of the letter... Has he changed this much already that he seems to really miss us? Wow!
Hoping to connect with other 11/134 moms. Let me know. :D Hang in there! We're gonna make it, just like our kids! :D

Happy Friday!!! :D I actually have a couple minutes at my computer this morning instead of having to read our discussion on my phone! Cool, huh? I'm choosing to be positive. We will leave very early on Thursday for our 14 hour drive. So, here's my question... okay... questions.... which may or may not have already been mentioned but I missed it... Where is everybody staying? Are you planning to attend any of the Meet and Greets? I'd like to meet as many of you as possible, but don't know how practical that is. I'm SO EXCITED!!!! 6 DAYS and counting!!! I can't wait!
We're arriving late Thursday night and will be staying at the Quality Inn only 3 miles away from base... I don't know anything about "meet & greets"... I am looking for an awesome restaurant to take my new Sailor on Friday night... I know he'll want STEAK... thanks!!!!
We are staying at the Naval Lodge on Base and plan on attending meet and Greet Thursday nite at Sarge. Will you be attending? Im really Hoping everyone can attend because some of our SR will be attending the same A-Schools so it would be really good to stay in touch and keep each other up on information.
What are the meet & greets about? We're not arriving till late Thursday night so we would not attend anyway but I'm just curious... Thanks!
Hi Everyone, we will not be arriving until 7:30 PM, Thursday night. Anyone have meeting places and times! We are coming from FLA and flying into O'Hara. Any information would be greatly appreciated. YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its a place called Sarge that have free food and drinks for the familys to meet up and finally get to see the people that have chatted with. Its on this site as well as meet and greet.
I am staying at the Gateway inns and suites on the base... i will also be at Sarge's meet and greet.. i will start my 17 hour drive on wed... i am trying to leave by 3... i cant wait to meet everyone... i am sure our SR's will introduce us to everyone... i told my daughter that i want to meet everybody... Also i am extending my room to those SR's who love ones could not make it so they can have someone to relax and hang out with... When i graduated from Navy Boot camp my family could not make it.. i had a family to adopt me for the weekend and i was so happy...
Thats so sweet of you to do that. I had no ideal that happens. I hope we meet up Thursday. Im looking forward to meeting everyone there.
Hi Everyone, we are staying at the Courtyard Marriott, about 30 minutes from the base. We are flying in from Florida is anyone else coming from FLA. I will try to make the Sarge but not sure as I will have two great nephews with me age 5 and 8 along with my niece. They can't wait to see their cousin as a Navy Sailor. I am also bring a home made apple pie per my daughter's request. LOL We are just so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Corinne, yes Ship 11 Division 133 and 134 should be graduating and have their PIR day is the 27th of this month. I can not say who in these two divisions will be graduating, but here on N4M we are hoping all our SR will come out fine!!!! We are always praying:) We are all still on hold for that until they complete battle stations which takes placed on the 24th and 25th of this month. If all go's right you should receive a call from your SR after 2:00 PM on the 25th. Go over this site and Navy Training Command site for alot of great information.
