itzlogansmom. I am so sorry to hear your sons comments. I am hoping you will hear some positive comments soon. Hang in there. He sounds determined and strong...

Got 6 letters from our SR this week, between Grandparents, us & GF, thankfully I love his GF, and we get along great!! So I get to read all his letters!! He sounded better then we did and of course, said it wasn't what he expected, and to his buddy leaving May 10, he said, They all lied to us, man!! lol And the best line ever, which I never expected to hear/read...... I don't get to do enough PT!!!!!!! Obviously he is on Ship Staff and says he misses out on things. But all in all they all were positive and he sound like my Matt!! Hope everyone gets letter soon! It's like Christmas eve here every Tues night!!

My sister is an SR! Trying to take in all this information and get everything squared away for PIR!

Is she in our division 147? Have you heard from her, have any news? LOL Hate the cut off feeling on it all and will eat up every little scrap of info I can! We've only recieved mail once, last week, and they we're a little vague lol Said he's doing fine and boot camp is boot camp, food was good and endless. haha  Said all he seemed to do was study & fold! I know they are further along now then they were when he wrote the letters, so I hope its gotten easier on them all, and that they have adjusted well!

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering what everyone had planned for the weekend?  As far as I know we are going to get to spend all Saturday with our Sailor.  We aren't from Chicago so just looking for suggestions!

Thanks!

HI Brenda...

There is tons to do in Chicago - the Navy Pier is definitely a choice... and the view from the Top of the Hancock building is amazing (especially from the ladies room).  Lots of shopping too on Michigan Ave. it is called the Magnificent Mile.  :)

My daughter said in her letter that she was craving a resteraunt named Chiptole, so I looked and they have one close by so we are going to do that.  She also said she wanted to relax some and get her haircut evenly as she said they cut it unevenly.  So, a haircut is in our plans for that weekend.  I was looking at the Chicago visitor website and saw the Navy Pier, but that may be to much excitement.  So, the rest of the time I think we will play it by ear on what she is up for.  We are flying in from Texas and will be there though Sunday night.

Got letters from my SR today!!! Found out his A school is in GL, so he will be staying and get the weekend with us!!! Yay!

That is sooooo Great!!!!  I have only gotten the one letter :(  he is not a writer so it may be nothing to worry about. But I do wonder if he has been in trouble.  lol  Of course... no news is good news as people keep posting on here.... so at least if he is in trouble then it is not enough to get sent home or to the brig!  lol

If anyone reading this knows of a SR Ervin or SR Auber in division 147, please contact me, they have become good friends of my SR and would LOVE to make contact with their families!

Oh my goodness .... my son is SR Auber !!  Yes, you may contact me .... I don't get on here very often so don't know what information to give you so we can communicate. Help me out!

Any family member of SR Ragel on here? She and my daughter have become good friends @ BC. I figured if it worked for MattsMom, maybe it will work for me...lol
