Boot Camp Mom's Prayer

God bless my recruit as he meets this day

I pray that he has the strength to find his way

As reveley wakes him so loud and clear

I pray your love will lead him, and he will show no fear

If there's danger and if there's strife

Please send Angels to guard his life

Keep him safe and hold him near

Bless my recruit, I hold him dear

Until he moves on to PIR day

Bring peace to our hearts

And strength to our faith

(Many thanks to our own 'teeny' for sharing!)

S:)'s thank you soooooo very much for sharing that! I am so very proud of these  young men! I could hear my SR in a lot of those letters. It made me cry. Thank you also for Psalm 91.  I am going to send this to my SR.

I am really looking forward to meeting our N4M family. Hopefully we can pick one place to all meet

myty,

I just wish there was a way for all of you to read all of the letters! You would have been even more proud of yours sons...if that is possible.

sjtina I light a blue candle almost every night. For Easter I gave one to my dad and my sister to light as well. And asked them to pray for my SR and DIV813 when they light it.

NavyBlue I can imagine how hard it is for him to rest when the others are runnng circles around him. Its for the best so he gets healthy, he is young and will heal quickly.

NavyBlue, Thanks be to God that it only needs to rest! I know with all the prayers going his way he will be sure to heal quickley. And I know you are right, the hardest thing for him is to sit on the side lines. I'll pray for patience as well.

Today is a GREAT day! I received TWO letters from my SR! A year ago I would have never imagined a letter could bring me such intense joy. It amazes me how my world has changed in a few short weeks!

I have good news to share!  I "found" a letter in my mailbox on Sunday.  We all know mail doesn't come on Sunday and I know the mail lady's routine so well now that I can hardly believe I missed a Saturday delivery.   Here's the good news.

My SR tells me that he's better and due to be released last Friday for regular duty!   I feel so fortunate to have all of your prayers and uplifting thoughts.   I thank God today for all of you and the blessing of my new Navy family.

Navy Blue, I am sooo excited to hear the great news!. Praise be to God! I'll be sending up the Thank yous now.   Only a mom would look into the mailbox on Sunday ;) How exciting that surpise Saturday letter was around here. A Sunday letter would have been considered a miracle.

A blessed day to all you sweet ladies. We will be leaving 3 weeks from today to head to Great Lakes! I am trying not to count down every hour because I know that will make it drag. I can not wait for May 18th to hurry up and get here. If May 19th and 20th want to pass very slowly...that will be fine with me.

Navy Blue that is great.  Myty  I got a letter yesterday and it was 2 pages.  I cried through the whole thing.  We only have 23 more days ladies.  I am counting down.  He sounds so grown up its amazing and I can even read his writing now.  LOL.  Cant wait to see everyone and finally get to talk face to face.  He thinks its pretty cool that we all talk on here. Hopefully they will keep going through everything together.

my sr also said that he got a promotion so everyone had to run.  I wonder why?  Maybe because not all of them did.  he also said he is doing well and dthat yes they get to write 2 times a week now. told his dad that they werent allowed to talk until a certain time.  now that has to be hard.

NavyBlue praise be to God!!!! I am sooooo happy for your SR!!!!!

Teeny and Navy Blue I'm so happy you ladies got your letters. How sweet it is!

How are you ladies doing this week? Seems like time is starting to just fly by and they days are going quicker the sooner PIR comes around. But I'm sure the week before will just DRAG...anyways just a reminder that as of tomorrow we have 3 WEEKS! Am I the only one excited about that? ;) Hope you all have a fantastic rest of the week. Should be getting a letter tomorrow from my SR and I send one out everyday so that he doesn't miss hearing his name called. Take care! :)
