Same here... check out the various meet and greets also.. we are staying at the Ramanda and will be attending Sarge's meet and greet.. It would be great to meet you!

That is the one I would like to go to. Can't wait to meet the other families. would be great to meet you also

If you want to chat more please click on Ship 11 Div 156 chatt as I am on and check chat often!  You are the 1st person from MN that I have seen... No one on our ship from MN that anyone has mentioned...

Haven't gotten a letter in almost 2 weeks, still waiting for a phone call.  Just wondering the lucky moms that have gotten that cherished phone call - about what time was it? I am carrying my phone everywhere and certainly don't want to miss that call. Thanks!

Some of the moms on our division have gotten calls as late as 9:30pm Central time...  I too have not gotten the call as posted above.  Mitch stated that if there is a test or inspection the next day or that he needs to concentrate on he may choose to not call to stay focused.  Remember sometimes talking to the family can help but it can also make homesickness worse so I have to remember to get off the "pitty-party" and stay strong as that is what the boys would want.. They will call us when they can and when it is good timing.  Hang in there!

Thanks misty! I know I completely want my son to stay focused and not to start feeling homesick, they are half way there and cannot wait to see my sailor! Thank you!

Welcome MN Navy Mom! Glad to have you aboard. 3 1/2 weeks to PIR! I am soo ready to see my daughter.

We are staying at the Ramada Inn Waukegan, but attending Sarge's Meet & Greet. Looking forward to meeting as many mom's/families as possible during that time.

Have any of you ordered PIR ribbons from LaLa? I ordered mine last week. I also ordered division t-shirts to wear to the Meet & Greet. Figured that would be an easy way to identify other families from the same division and our brother division 153.

Thank you for the welcome. We will be a Sarge's Meet and Greet also. How can I order the division tshirts? 23 days and I will be on my way to Great Lakes IL!!! I can't wait to see my son and hug him sooo tightly

On the main page of this discussion board, I posted a link to order the division t-shirts. I would get them ordered asap. Just answer the questions on the order form. You won't be able to see what the division logo is but will see what the front of the t-shirt will look like.

thanks!!

Hello all my Sr is in ship 12 DIV 153 she told me she is bunking with the girls from DIV154 I have not met any moms yet with daughters in 153 so I just wanted to pop my head over to say hello to all i think if my SR was a son this might be easier but since this is my only girl (what can i say but i miss her) I am proud of all of them I hope this experience has been easy on you all and i will be glad to meet you all on 5-18

Glad to have you on here with us Shirley. Looking forward to meeting you at PIR. My SR is my only daughter also. I miss her so much. When she left, we became emptynesters. Our son, who turned 24 today, lives in Oklahoma. We live near Houston, TX.
