I have still yet to recieve a form letter. Hoping my mail man will be bringing it today! I did however have my husbands recruiter check again today to make sure his address hasn't changed and he said his perm was Ship 09 Div 145 :0) So I hope to find others in this group who have loved ones in this Division. Best wishes and prayers are with you all!

I got a letter from my son again today. It seems that Thursday is my day to receive mail. He did indicate that this week that they in now was the biggest week, and that it gets eaiser after this. (Thanks for answered prayers) He did say that some of them went to church for Easter and that it was a nice break to think about somehting else. To relax and focus away from the fast pace of things. He said they don't get much time only sleep 6 -7 hours a night so not much time to jsut sit down and write. He also said alot of them would be going regular to church now but rotating Sundays because of still trying to get thier stuff done. They did get some newbees in their group fromt he (setback) groups of the weeks before them. I think he said something about doing live fire this week as well and they have not done the fire inspection yet. Anyway I hope this help a little and I hope your letter comes soon.

Hi all, got a phone call today!!!!  They got a 30m phone call today.  They were a tiny bit short of earning an hour long call.  Sounds like the division is doing very well.  They have 2 academic flags, 1 athletic flag, a drill flag with pennant, star flag...my son also got Sharpshooter.  He loved Marlinspike and said they all worked together well.  He sounded sick but very pleased with it all.

I hope everyone gets a call and posts what they learned:)

Hello everyone :0) I got the call too! My husband didn't get into too much detail about flags and such, but he did say he got sharp shooter. And he placed 5th out of a couple hundred people so I'm very proud. We mostly kept telling each other how much we loved and missed each other. He said that battle stations was 10 days from now. Is anyone else going to do the blue candle lighting for battle stations? I have already got mine and so ready for the time to come to light it in support of our men and women during the time of their final test :0) hope everyone is doing well! Thanks for sharing CMD and congrats on your recruit getting sharp shooter as well! Very proud of them :0)

All of you are lucky! I got a text from our sons girlfriend. He called her instead of mom! Oh well, I'm glad that they got to talk. Maybe next time. It sounds like their division is doing great. Thanks for the posts, cuz the girlfriend would not tell me all the things you guys posted.

I'm sorry that happened :0( just try to think of the silver lining. First we know that he is ok, and second we have only 19 days until we get to see them march through the doors as a proud sailor! I know I'm going to be so happy that I'll be the one bawling my eyes out! Lol. Just keep writing letters and sending pictures! Good luck mama!

There is a Facebook page for PIR 5/11 - 'Family with PIR 5/11'

Finally got a call! After missing the groups last one, I thought I'd never hear his voice.
He sounded happy- but sick. Said battle station was in 13 days ....so proud of our sr's!

Hi Navy families,    This is my first time writing.  I have been following this for weeks now and feel as if I know everyone.  It has kept me going all of these weeks and I feel that I should get involved.  I just received a second call from my son last night and I know that you all know what it feels like.  No other phone call could make you happier.  It makes it easier to wait for the next letter or phone call. He is doing well.  He was sick with a cold (? vaccinations)  for 2 wks but managed to work thru it.

He passed all of the testing so far and says that the Division is going GREAT!  They must work well together.  He seems happy, so I'm relieved.  Can't wait to see him on PIR day.  We've been chicken to book plane tickets because of the cost of refundable tickets, so we've been pushing our luck in getting reasonable priced tickets.  I think that we'll book this week.  We did book at the Navy hotel (? exact name). I was sad to hear that he's leaving late that evening but we'll enjoy the little time that we have.  Hope to see some familiar names at the Graduation.

Anyone here have a son Jay in ship 09 div 145 with a girlfriend named Meg? He's bunkmates with my SR!

Your Division was caught marching!!! RTC FB page just uploaded some pics!

thanks Kiki, I saw your message and went running for the computer!  Sadly I could not find my son but it is nice to see them marching all the same, hope others find their recruit.

Aww. :( I know it's a bummer that can't see every single face in the division. Keep watching though. They post new random photos every week!
