I figure since divisions 159 and 161 were represented already, I'd add 160 ;)
It's hard to believe that it's been over a week since my brother left already. When I called my dad to give him my brother's address, he mentioned that when he took my brother out for his going away party, a Navy vet had come up and told him that he will gain a whole brotherhood/sisterhood while in the Navy, so that really makes me feel better. I'd love to meet the families of his new brothers and sisters!

i'm still trying to figure out where to stay. Where is the HOliday Inn Express? I would really like to take care of this asap! Is it in Waukegan? Any ideas would be helpful!!!! Coming from Wisconsin so we don't have far to go!
Thanks so much....just need to take care of this and want to make sure we find a decent place. It's hard to believe there are only 28 more days left.
Hello ladies! I received another letter yesterday from my Dustin :) he still sounds good and he's ready for graduation to get here. He told me that his bunkmate and friend was Kunze. He is also a MA and going to the same A school as Dustin. I love the way the Lord works these things out for our loved ones!
You are right about that!!! God sure does work wonders with his children. Glad to hear that Dustin and bunkmate are going to the same A school. They both won't feel like strangers in their new "quarters". I'm hoping to receive a letter from son this week. He's been writing to friends and other family members....I shouldn't complain...at least he is writing.
I have a friend who is in this Div. I am his "Sea" mama and he decided to join after my son joined last year. My son is now a Corpsman (like I was) stationed in San Diego so I know how you all feel. Things will get better after bootcamp and you can talk to your sailor when you want. We did go to graduation and stayed at the Navy Lodge. It is right around the corner from bootcamp and is actually set in base housing. People were wonderful and the rooms were clean and the price was good.
Hi DeeDee,
The coin only has the ship name - Chicago. You will need to get it engraved with the ship & division info.

You will have a chance to when you go to the PIR. I am looking forward to the same thing. My son's PIR is 5/25/12 and we will be meeting eachother at the meet and greets that are there the night before the PIR date. This is a great site. Best wishes.
