Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

well i am heartbroken i missed my call my daughter left me a message she was crying bless her heart she called back and left another message saying she was sorry and she loved me she just wanted to hear my voice really bad.if she only knew how bad i wanted to here hers too..she did talk with my husband and her little sisters and i am thankful for that. wish i worked where i could carry my phone. I am very glad that the rest of you guys got calls maybe next time i will get to talk to her I really hope so.untill then i am gonna keep writing she told my husband those letters are very important to her so guess i will be writing one tomorrow well guess i will get back to work i will talk to you all later.still PROUD MOMMA just a little sad.

So sorry to hear this. My daughter hasn't called me yet at all. Hang in there. You did get a call and that has to be comforting. I am going to keep writing too. It will happen. :)

awww I am so sorry.....I am an emotional wreck....(and it's not usua) - but I just shed a tear for you....WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!!  can u imagine how I am about my son not calling??!  This is goin too far...I dont know if I can handle all these emotions - I feel like the grinch when he is getting his heart! hahaha

hope u get ur call - and I hope I get mine!!  today would be nice! 

 

i feel the same way if that helps we are just mommas and this is how we handle it i guess my poor co-workers didnt know what to do with me when i missed that call as old as i am boo hooing like a baby. i am good now i guess i have a grip on it again till next time LOL we will make it just hang in there.

my daughter is in this div to  this website has got lots of great information and many of the mothers on here have already been through this so i have really found it helpful if you have a question just ask someone will know the answer or they can lead you in the right direction.

Is this the main place for us to receive updates for our kids that is in this division, to chat about our kids or is there another thread somewhere?

I GOT A LETTER TODAY....it helps so much!!  He loves it!!! (or at least he says he does!)  He is doing good!!!  I love it!!!

Is anybody's SR going to A school In Gl?

Is that GL?  Mine is staying in GL

My SR will be going to school also there? maybe they know each other.
