Hi there!
I am the mom of a new sailor who is in ship 02, div 927. His PIR date is 5/18/12. We are interested in other folks who have kids graduation within the same division/ship. This is all new to us so we are pretty clueless!! Where to stay, what to wear??? What to do with him after graduation?? Anyone else feel the same? :) Thanks! Donna

Welcome Yvonda!! The 927 is a performance division. These recruits are doing everything all the other recruits in other divisions are plus performing in the two graduations prior to their own, and performing in their own division. A few of our kids are carrying state flags during graduations. There may be some other things they will do as well... they greet guests and such. It's a priviledge! The recruits will get a few hours after graduation to spend with their family. I can't wait!! We are half way through!!
SO glad that the letters are sounding more positive. She has mentioned in the last two that the 927 division is having a hard time coming together as a group. Hoping they worked it out for their big inspections this week. 22 more days to go!!!! Cant wait for the 18th.

Thanks! My son was carrying the Mississippi flag so he wouldn't be in these. :( I haven't heard from him since his phone call at week 3. I hope he is doing ok! :)
Oh Thank you so MUCH for taking this picture!!! It made me cry. It's so nice to see him with a smile on his face. I snagged this and put it on my fb page. You also had another I snagged too. Thank you Lola for taking this, it's made it a lot easier to wait now until the 18th. Of Course I can't wait to wrap my arms around though.
