Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son, Will, is an FT assigned to the USS COLUMBIA out of Pearl Harbor. He's stuck on shore duty for awhile as he broke a bone in his hand and is sporting a cast. He was really looking forward to getting underway!

I'm Jennifer and I have a son on the HMJackson (blue). This is his first tour after 2 years in training and now he's expected to get his quals done in one tour so we don't expect to even get one email while he's out but we keep sending them.

Hi, Jennifer! M.y son is a "rider" on the HMJ/Blue for the present deployment. He's actually assigned to the USS Pennsylvania, but a group of them are temporarily assigned to the HMJ to update qualifications. Have you been in contactt with the ombudsman? Are you aware of the scheduled mail drops? Many of us have not received responses to our sailormail so you're not alone. I know from past experience that when they're working on quals they're not given much time to do anything else! : ). The ombudsman has been great posting email updates and replying to any questions you might have.

My son, Dan, is a Nuke MM3 aboard the USS Springfield. He boarded his ship for the first time last Monday. He's stationed at Groton, CT.
