Good morning Ladies,
no call this week, but did receive a letter. He's done well, passed all tests, Received ribbon for sharpshooter. I guess playing those online games helped.lol. Sounds good.I keep looking at my plane tickets everyday, must contain myself.
Have a Wonderful day!!
Hi Jmom.... awe I know the feeling.... I havent received a call either. The only call we have received is the "Im here call"......and yes Thank God for those letters... glad to hear he is doing well.
jaimers
Usually the 800 Divs get 3 phone calls. Not sure why they did not make the 2nd call. Keep your phones glued to your side after Battlestations, He will be extremely tired, but the sound of his voice is like heaven. I remember my son telling me that one day they marched to the phones, excited to be able to call home and instead they marched right through.
For those of you with sons/husb/bf heading to pre-buds... below is the link for superfeet
@Jaimers, thanks for the Superfeet link.
Here's probably a dumb question...is there a way to change the replies to post the most recent first. I know on other pages the replies are posted that way, but on this page for some reason they show the oldest first. It's time consuming to have to go the last page and then go backwards. Am I missing something?
I have a list going of things to bring my son. Does anyone have gift ideas for graduation? Or are gifts not appropriate?
I told my son if he just wants to hang out at our hotel and rest/nap/sleep he can....he really sounds exhausted! I too have not heard from him again by phone, it was so good to hear his voice three weeks ago. I guess we may not hear from them again until after Battlestations, but the cell phone has become part of my body these days! Battlestations is next week, right?
Will we get an invitation to the next group for pre-BUDS?
Have a good weekend ladies, see you soon!
No, unfortunately there is no way to change the discussion pages to have most recent replies first....:-(. Believe me, we N4Moms veterans tried!
Gifts can be the commemorative coins, watches (black or silver--no gold), or a small religious medal. Some buy electronics for their new sailors. Others take them shopping after PIR to get what they want.
Any updated SWCC info? Has anyone's SR wrote them telling them they have received their orders yet? I know in week 4 (when he called) he thought he might get transition leave for two weeks, but has anyone's son confirmed this officially? Also are they actually confirmed to stay in GL til Div 813 PIR's?
Can't wait to see them in 13 days...SO EXCITED!!!!!
If you find out a BattleStations date, please do not post it here. We are not allowed to post those dates on N4Moms. But you can private message it. It would be ok to post that you have a date and ask others to private message you for it--please post that on the main PIR page too. I would also like it private messaged to me. I'm keeping a schedule. 800 divisions go randomly, 900 divisions usually go on a specific day, and the other divisions go numerically, lower to higher numbered. Hoping that someone hears of a date soon! If you know their training day count (week/day), they should be ready to go to BattleStations when on 6-5. Remember, training day count is different than bootcamp day count. Training day count starts after processing days are finished. Each division w/brother division may be on a different day count.
Diannep, could you send all the info on Div 812 if you have any?
Thanks everyone for the gift ideas. Too bad about the date problem on replies, that is just time consuming! I too would like to be private messaged for the Battlestations date. Does everyone have a blue candle? I lit one for the last group that went through Battlestations.
Have a happy Sunday and God bless you all!
Missed a call from my SR but he did talk to another family member and said it didn't look like he was getting any leave after basic, but I don't know any details (he's SWCC)... hopefully we'll received some letters this week that explain a little more!
Also, I would like to know when it's our boys turn for Battle Stations. If anyone knows please msg me! And will the "I'm a Sailor" calls come right after Battle Stations or can those calls come in the days following Battle Stations? Any info is greatly appreciated...
