Read where someone said our ship and div was supposed to be getting phone calls tonight or tomorrow? Anyone had 1 yet? Nothing from my SR. I'm not going to fret about it. No news is good news - although I'd really love to hear his voice!
Hi! Just wanted to let you mom's know that I received a wonderful letter from my SR. My heart is singing! I'm so proud of him. He just wanted to thank us for all we've done for him and realize why we pushed when we did and why we always insisted that if he was going to do something - to do it right and with pride. Other news he wrote, it sounds like things are finally coming together for the division. He didn't say so in so many words, but his attitude sure seemed more positive! Yay! Hope everyone else got a letter!
It warms my heart so much to hear when another Mom form our division receives a letter and shares it with us! I haven't received anything since April 19th, but I'm so glad to hear that things are finally coming together for the division. :)
18 more days!
I'm staying at the Marriott Residence Inn. The information letter that you received came with a pamphlet and listed several hotels. Try looking in the pamphlet.
@ Prayingmom, no I did not receive a call tonight. Last call I received was 4/19. Trying to remind myself that "no news is good news"! Keep us posted when you receive letters or a call!
17 more days! :)
No news is good news. If you have not received a call from your son that he was held back, then he is doing fine. I know that it is difficult, but try not to worry. I'm sure he is doing fine since you have not received a call.
PrayingMom: If your SR was asmoed (setback), you would have gotten a call. So no news is good news! He will have to pass the swim test by the time of his BattleStations though. Otherwise, he will continue to try in FIT DIVISION and if he passes before his PIR, he will do BattleStations with another group and be at PIR. If he doesn't pass by then, he will stay in FIT until he does pass, but will then do BattleStations and head straight to A School (no PIR).
i recieved a letter yesterday ....he wrote it on the 23rd...and 24th...lol...wasnt very long, said he was very tired...still some mouth pain from his surgery...and that a root canal was scheduled for the 30th !!! :( but was happy that they now have 'flags'...said that he and many others are sick :,( he says he has nothing serious, ''but flu-like stuff''...he has 'coughing, runny nose, headaches...''...he also said that its all goin around...including (thank goodness not him) pink-eye and 's***'... :( he says he dont undrstand it, because they clean multiple times daily !!! He also says, it the windy city alright..cold and windy up there...he also is worried with all the sickness and dental, that he might be 'asmo'ed'...so, we have been prayin for him...as well as all the others....he does mention that they are comin together more...then he goes on about wantin to send money home...and i dont have a bank account, so any advice on this matter would be very much appreciated. No phone call tho..but he did have more dental yesterday tho :(
My letter was dated on the 19th. So glad to hear that they finally have "flags". Poor kids - sick and having all that tension! And it's great they are coming together more! Hope he gets to feeling better soon and over all this dental work! Prayers!
