Boot Camp Mom's Prayer

God bless my recruit as he meets this day

I pray that he has the strength to find his way

As reveley wakes him so loud and clear

I pray your love will lead him, and he will show no fear

If there's danger and if there's strife

Please send Angels to guard his life

Keep him safe and hold him near

Bless my recruit, I hold him dear

Until he moves on to PIR day

Bring peace to our hearts

And strength to our faith

(Many thanks to our own 'teeny' for sharing!)

Welcome back S;).....you're not yelling just expressing the excitement we're all feeling as PIR gets closer.  Passing the weeks of Boot Camp with this community of Moms has made my journey easier.  Thank you all for sharing my load and now my excitement.

I learn something new every night from each of you and the different things that each SR shares.  I'm often amazed at how little I actually hear about BC from my SR!

I can't wait to meet all of YOU.....It's MAY!!!   Yeah.

welcome back S.  we are all meeting at sarges i think on thursday night.  most of us aren't coming in until thursday afternoon.

Thanks for that sjtina. This is still confusing. Does this mean in order for them to get the Hall of Fame award they have to also get the CNO honor div, battle e, compartment readiness (star), drill, and physcial fitness flags. Sorry I'm so thick headed.

So happy you gals got a call as well. Teeny I'm sorry you did not get a call but chin up your call is coming soon. Battle stations is may 8th and 9th (that's what my sr told me) so keep your phones with you on may 9th ladies!!!!!!

sjtina question, i am making ribbons for my family to wear, can i put my SR's last name on it along with DIV 813? Not sure about our last name since it's a special ops unit.

Looks like we are meeting at Sarges. Can't wait to find out everyons real names and your SR's names. Please bring pictures of your SR's as well. Navy blue that would be great if you could set up a meeting place for us.

myty, yes I think it means they have to get all of them. One of the 800 divs before this one got Hall of Fame, so its possible. hooyah

LaLa made our ribbons and the last names were on them with the div #, so you are good.

We didn't get in until Thursday night for my son's PIR so we missed the Meet and Greet. I did get to meet a couple of moms sitting in the bleachers with us. We are still friends. I hope you all get to meet each other one way or another.

We get to Great Lakes around Noon on Thursday....I'm not suggesting that we only meet at SARGE.

I liked the idea of meeting at a second location for just our group.  Someone suggested a coffee meet-up?

I had another more stealthy way to identify our group, we could paint one fingernail Navy Blue....a simple backwards wave of the hand, we could recognize each other even in a group.

Starbucks 780 Lakehurst Road, Waukegan, IL 60085 ??

Howdy Friends,

I am back again. My daughters joke that I am addicted to Navy4Moms and the RTC facebook page. lol

I hope I make it in time to meet up with everyone. Navy Blue, I like the blue nail polish. I hope I remember.

Teeny, the first thursday when all the phone calls were being received, I did not get one. I was so sad. It turns out that my son had watch that night and he called a few days later. I hope your call comes soon.

My son said that their RDC's have had several divisions make Hall of Fame. He thinks they are the best of the best. So... with the best of the best RDC's, and the best of the best SR's (our sons and loved ones), and with so many of us praying for them... Hall of Fame here we come ;) Positive thoughts right?

sjtina, Thanks for the info! You always seem to clear things up for us.

Navy blue you took that idea right out of my head.  I was painting my nails with red tips and one nail blue with stars on them anyway.

myty, i am making my ribbons also but on lalas website she said usually the 800 div ribbons are black so i am making black ones.

16 more days ladies.  YIPEEE!!!!!! (_l_) (_/_) (_l_) (_\_)  happy dance ladies...

Oh and BTW  I am so very proud of all our boys.  I say the boot camp prayer every morning when I get up.  Its hanging on my mirror so I dont forget.

teeny-- where did you find the Boot Camp prayer? I had it saved somewhere but I can't find it :(

what time for starbucks.  if i am there i will be there

Good Morning Ladies!

I think I'm going to try and edit the discussion on the first page to add 'quick' view info. Thought it would be helpful so we wouldn't have to search through the entire thread to find 'one' thing (meeting for coffee, Sarge's Meet/Greet, nail polish, ribbons, etc)

Is anyone opposed?
