Boot Camp Mom's Prayer

God bless my recruit as he meets this day

I pray that he has the strength to find his way

As reveley wakes him so loud and clear

I pray your love will lead him, and he will show no fear

If there's danger and if there's strife

Please send Angels to guard his life

Keep him safe and hold him near

Bless my recruit, I hold him dear

Until he moves on to PIR day

Bring peace to our hearts

And strength to our faith

Its not part of Chicago. I think we saw it going to the Gurnee Mall.

Hi ladies! A lot of action on here today.

Teeny thanks again for the prayer. Love it!

SWCC'Em good idea. Hope I can figure it out I am road kill on the information highway!

Navy Blue I would love to meet our group at starbucks. Can we meet sometime in the afternoon. We are driving and should arrive in the afternoon hours. Blue nail polish sounds good. It sounds like everyone is wearing black ribbions with 813 on them. We will notice each other that way as well won't we? I plan on wearing mine or are we not suppose to except for PIR? Also my SR said the same thing about the RDCs. I really believe they will earn the Hall of Fame award!

S:) you are not the only one addicted to this site. My lap top has not left the kitchen table since he left for bootcamp. I am on it a few times a day, sometimes for hours.

jde.937 thanks for the great info!

last but not least sjtina what are superfeet?

They are insoles for their boots or sneakers. We couldn't find them at the Gurnee Mall so I Googled locations close to base and found a place not too far. They may sell them at the mall by now since they are so popular.

I'm up for a pre-meet and greet cup of Starbucks! There's a Starbucks just around the corner from SARGE's meet and greet location. How about 3:30 for Starbucks then we can move over to SARGE's party at Sundance Saloon.

Dang!  This divisions has two discussions.  How did that happen?  I posted something on the other discussion group.

My son graduated April 13.  He is still in GL for diver prep school.

Ya'll are lucky to have sjtina on this site.  She's a wealth of information, so I'll be glad to play back up if you have any questions for those staying in GL.

I have a suggestion for an inexpensive gift if you want:

Our son thought it was great.

this site is so great! I am also becoming addicted to it.  I want to order a ribbon but missed where and how we do that.  I wish I was arriving earlier to catch up and meet more of you.  I arrive at 830 in chicago :(

Ok, I've updated the first page for this discussion thread to (hopefully) provide a quick look at all of the recently discussed items (Starbucks, Sarge's, nail polish, etc). Everyone should be able to 'view' this when accessing the discussion thread (just scroll up) :)  Let me know if you have anything you'd like for me to add (or if something needs to be edited or removed).

By the way-- today is THURSDAY which is usually mail day-- I'm hoping that we all get letters today from our SR's :)

Hope you each have a wonderful day today! :)

You're awesome for putting all on this info on one page!    Thanks SWCCEm!

hopefully we do all get our letters.......   you r great swcc'em.  thank you thank you thank you.
