Boot Camp Mom's Prayer

God bless my recruit as he meets this day

I pray that he has the strength to find his way

As reveley wakes him so loud and clear

I pray your love will lead him, and he will show no fear

If there's danger and if there's strife

Please send Angels to guard his life

Keep him safe and hold him near

Bless my recruit, I hold him dear

Until he moves on to PIR day

Bring peace to our hearts

And strength to our faith

(Many thanks to our own 'teeny' for sharing!)

one nail on each hand myty.  i will be on tomorrow for most of the morning if any one wants to chat.  have a great friday ladies and can not wait to hug everyone of you guys for helping me through this thing I call a roller coaster

Myty, that's great they got to have breakfast with the higher up officers! I hope and pray they all pull together as a team and get through BS around the corner! Prayers and more prayers! I like the blue nail polish idea! I also agree with you Myty, this site has been so helpful throughout this experience- things I would've never known I know now and I'm not so "out of the loop" with all this Navy top secret stuff :) You ladies are all fabulous and very sweet and each and everyone of us are grateful for each other I'm sure! We're blessed to have each other and come together as sort of a team like our SR's. In it to the end :) We thankfully don't have much time left, they days are ticking on by and I am thankful for that! In 2 weeks we'll be there!!! YAY! :) I also got a letter today, real brief but he was sending my little questionaire back on Tues so I should get it in the next couple days. I let him vent a little, since they don't get much time to talk and letting out any frustrations is better than holding it in! You ladies sleep well and have a wonderful day tomorrow! :)

hey everyone.  hope everyone has a great weekend.  I just changed my plane reservations to come in earlier so i can do both starbucks and sarges.  I am so EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am counting down the days

Yeah Teeny I'm so happy you'll be there for coffee!   The count down is on..14 days.

Hey njwhitney how are you? I only received 1 phone call and 5 letters. I am hoping to hear more soon. I would love to connect. I'm staying a few minutes from base. Are you going to meet and greet? Please let me know.have a great weekend :- )

Wow 5 letters. Maybe my son broke his fingers or something. Lol. I got the form letter with a few sentences on the back. In my "daily" card to him yesterday I told him how I had discovered this site and how cool it was to hear about all the letters all the other moms were getting. I told him I couldn't wait to have something to post about too. Hopefully he will take the hint. I think we may arrive after the meet and greets are over. I was hoping if anyone was arriving late that maybe there was a place for a later greet and drink spot for those arriving after 9 ish. We just changed our reservation yesterday to be closer than we were originally. We are at the courtyard. It's very close to base. Have a good wknd too!Permalink Reply by njwhitney (ship 4 div 813) on Monday
Ha! Apparently his sister has been getting the letters and forgot to mention or bother to read them to me. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh kids! She is away at school. He told her to share them. Apparently, She has 4 or five. I am so going to shoot her! ( not really). But geeeez. They are very close, like twins almost so I imagine that's why he sent them to her. I guess he's doing well she said. I can sleep better tonight now.

Hello eveyone. I hope that everyone is doing well today. I know I have probably repeated what Im about to say so many times on so many pages Im sorry. I am really trying to connect with the family members of DIV 813. I enjoy meeting and speaking to all the moms, wives and family members of other soldiers from PIR 5-18 but I cant seem to figure who is from what, where and when :( please if you dont mind kindly post on here so we can connect and get to know a little more about each other? Thank you everyone

Is anyone that is arriving Thursday after nine going to be interested in quick meet and greet if the other ones are over by then? Also is anyone else staying at the courtyard which is close to base?

I am in and I am sure you will have other moms who would be willing :- )

Oh good. Let's chat details as the date gets closer. I am getting so discouraged. Was really hoping to hear from him over the wknd. He's not written either. Hope all is well with him. How old is your son? Where are you guys from. We are from Syracuse and spence will be 22 on may 16. It will be nice to be there so close to his bday.

good morning everyone.  hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.......   12 days and counting.  me and my sister are so excited.

NavyBlue  I am glad i am going to make it for coffee to.

njwhitney.  hang in there  tell your daughter to share  whenever she gets those precious letters.  us moms worry until we hear from them.

I havent gotten one this week but his dad did and he says he is still sick but he is good.  He says he has lots of stories. LOL!!!!

MYTY its good to hear that they got to do that.  How exciting for them.

I dont know what to pack since the weather there is so wishy washy but oh well.  I will freeze if i have to just so i can see his handsome face in that uniform. You know how us ladies love a man in uiform  LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As usual, I'm a day late and a dollar short-- no real excuse other than just running out of daylight before running out of things to do.

I got a letter from my SR that said in part: "...we are going to Hall of Fame..." I don't know if that means they got it or if they are still in contention for it. He also said, "We have done well on every test and every inspection, nothing lower than a 4.6 out of 5." Also, if you are on Facebook, you can go to the RTC site and part of the flag and see our boys in the random photos from May 1.

I'm so glad we all share a little of what we learn from our SR's as we all get different pieces of information from our SR's and we can at least put the pieces together to (kind-of) get a better picture! :)

I don't know if we will be able to go to Starbucks as we are driving-- if we can get there in time, I definitely want to stop by and look for waving hands that have one fingernail painted navy blue! :)

Hope ya'll have a great day and a great weekend ladies!! We all are definitely short-timing!! :)

well hopefully you will make it swwcem  if not at least at sarges.
