I still don't think what they told me was right, but oh well... nothing can be done about it now  :-)  I pulled his actual enlistment papers and they do say that he will be an E-4 after he completes the SB training so I know at least there is a rainbow after this storm!  What's a little less pay in the meantime, right???  lol...

It's Friday, It's Friday, it's the last Friday I'll be posting here that I miss my son and can't wait to see him.  BUT next Friday, I'll be meeting all the FINE SONS THE NAVY has transformed!!!  I can't wait!!!   Chicago I hear you calling my name in T-6 days!  HOOYAH!!

Captain's Cup tomorrow, followed by the Kentucky Derby...  This is going to be a great weekend for sure!  Then perhaps a phone call in the early part of next week???  So excited!!!!  Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Does any one know the dress code for the graduation?  I think I will get dressed and sleep standing up until the 11th. lol

JMom,
I have a dress code pet peeve when it comes to official ceremonies, so allow me a moment to get on my high horse. Your Sailor will be in his finest dress that the Navy offers. You should dress accordingly. With that being said, I wore a pant suit with a silk blouse and felt very appropriately attired. My husband and older son wore sport coats and ties. You will see it all!!!!!
At my son's PIR I overheard a Sailor express to his Mother his disappointment in her wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt while he was wearing his finest dress blues for HER. As far as I was concerned, that said it all.

@ Bob's mom,

Could not agree more.  This is a VERY special occasion.

Okay ladies, I don't know how instant messaging works, but can someone IM me and tell me what they know about Battlestations date and when we might receive the "I am a sailor" call?  Oh, and I guess I need someone to tell me how I find that message :-)  Has Div 812 received 6 flags?  Did I read that correctly?  I have been out of town this last week and I am trying to get caught up on all the news.  Glad to hear another family member should be able to get into graduation.  I can't remember who posted that, but thank you to you for letting me know.  Any help with Battlestation news is much appreciated!
