Boot Camp Mom's Prayer

God bless my recruit as he meets this day

I pray that he has the strength to find his way

As reveley wakes him so loud and clear

I pray your love will lead him, and he will show no fear

If there's danger and if there's strife

Please send Angels to guard his life

Keep him safe and hold him near

Bless my recruit, I hold him dear

Until he moves on to PIR day

Bring peace to our hearts

And strength to our faith

(Many thanks to our own 'teeny' for sharing!)

Cor, that is exactly what my new Sailor said... "We may get to sleep a whole 8-10 hours tonight!" He was stoked about that :)

Does anyone know if all of the groups (EOD, SWCC, Divers, Seals) go thru the same 'program' for the first couple of weeks or are they all divided up by career paths? I've heard both scenarios. If no one here knows, I will ask in one of the groups above. :)

my sr told me that they would go through the same there and go different when they get out to cali.

you are right swcc'em  here it is

(_l_) (_/_) (_l_) (_\_) (_l_)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  7 MORE DAYS

YAY teeny!! :D

By the way, I got your message finally and it looks FANTASTIC!! :)

thanks  i was afraid they wouldnt look good.  but it seems everyone loves them.

good afternoon.  I cant wait to go either.  I am counting them down.  Not trying to wish my life away but just this week.  LOL

Cait_J and I are working on ours today; I am thankful for Cait_J because she's 'craftier' than me :)

You have had a time of it!  I'm so happy to know your younger son is better.   Lots of happy thoughts and love are coming your way from Virginia.   Just a few more days till we'll be sharing a cup of delicious yet over priced coffee!

Chris'sMom--  I am so glad that your 11 y/o is doing better and that you will be able to make Starbucks and PIR! I can't even begin to imagine the anxiety you felt with your 11 y/o and your SR simultaneously. Like NavyBlue, I'm sending happy thoughts, hugs and prayers your way!

I sure hope they are also able to have some FUN with Captain's Cup today. But also being 'a little' competitive in sports (ok, a lot competitive), I also hope they WIN that flag! ;D

Hi Ladies!

What a time for me to be out of town and away from a computer! I was going crazy...... I needed to communicate with my Navy Family!

Got a letter and a FANTASTIC 1hr call from my SAILOR!!!!!!!! (_|_) (_/_) (_|_) (_\_) (_|_) (the teeny dance)

Fyi my sailor wrote in his letter the RDCs told them they have the chance to be one of the best divisions to ever go thru the Great Lakes. The RDCs told them they are pulling numbers the base has never seen since the new scoring system has been implemented. WAY TO GO DIV 813!!!!!!

Chris's mom so sorry to hear about your 11 year old son. How scary! Glad he's doing better.

Welcome to this site mamastacy, cnic21, and sealmom looking forward to seeing all of you at the meet and greats!

myty, what is the new scoring system (hadn't heard about that from my SR, but then again, I'm not surprised that he didn't say anything either)? :)
