Hi Travis Mom; I have a son in 07 170!! Glad to see you on here.

LOL!!! Travis Mom, we heard from Shawn today too. I can't believe how lucky; I was with my husband at a Dr apt this morning when Shawn called his cell phone so I got to talk to him too. He was so pleased, he passed his run time!! He also was looking for the final info for PIR, he sounded so much better than he did at the last call when he was so worried. He laughed when he told me your son asked "hey is your first name Shawn? Yeah... why? You should write your Mom!" LOL!!! He said you still have your way of finding me!! I am booking tickets now and am looking forward to meeting you at meet and greet! :-)
That's awesome!! So glad you got to speak to him!! Love it, love it, love it!!! We are still planning to be at Sarge's meet & greet, but Travis' childhood friend is arriving at 5:30 into Midway and we will be waiting for him before we head up to the meet and greet. I'm not sure how long it will take us to get the luggae and rental car and then drive up. I hope we don't miss it. Diannep has the Battlestation date for our division. You can friend her and she will message it to you.
I'm so excited to be on here! I'm not a mom but a wife. My sailor is in Ship 7 Div-170! I got a call from him today and he told me that they would be calling sometime this weekend which I'm excited about! I had no idea their was a group on the site for his division. I can't wait till his graduation! My sailor normally doesn't mention what their day to day is because it's nothing new. They go to class and exercise. He talks to me about his shots and what food they serve a lot. He also said that most everyone in his division is sick. :( He said everyone is scared to go to Medical because everyone he knows of thats been sent there has been sent home. I can't wait to get to know more about you guys! Who is all going to make it to their graduation?
Got a phone call yesterday and today both were unexpected. Im a wife also! Can not wait for PIR. He was sick the first time they got calls but sounded better this time. Is it hard for you guys to hear them on the phone. My ear hurt after the call bc i was pushing the phone into it trying to hear him better. He said its hard for him to hear on their phones as well :(...
Very true i love getting to talk to him! He is good, said he got shots today i asked him what they were and he had no idea lol. Which does not surprise he doesnt really question things like i would. Ready for graduation. He said they are getting to send their letters out more often now(they collected letters yesterday so some ppl might be getting some this weekend).
Where are ya'lls SR going for A school?
wow, i got a letter and about 15 min later i got a call boy was i excited, my son is ship 07 and div 170 i wonder if the three of the SR there know each other. shawn's mom and travis's mom my son's name is matt and they say not to use last names so i won't
hey beachbug and kling i just got off the phone with my SR he didn't say everyone is sick but he sounded like sh--
he said he went to medical yesterday. so at least we know that info is accurate
hey agg my son is going to Groton, CT he said a lot of them are staying in Great Lakes and a lot are going to FL. I hope my son finds someone that is going to CT. Probably not, that is the way life is in the military. I am a navy brat and a navy wife so i know that story too well
My husbands is an AM going to Pensecola. Which is alot closer to me than Great Lakes. I hope I can visit him on the weekends. I'm looking forward to being able to talk with him at night time and more in general. agg my sailor sounded terrible the first call! He sounded a lot better during this one to. I'm so proud of him he is a section leader for the division and passed his PFA. He said afterwards he thought he was going to pass out but if you pass out they automatically fail you. I'm gonna ask Gregory is he knows a Matt :) I'm glad none of them have to get any more peanut shots! lol
Hi there,
After anxiously waiting for some kind of word since his last letter on the May 4th, my son Shawn called me and can you believe it I missed his call! Soooooo mad at myself for leaving my phone in the car ( something I NEVER do) but he left me a message and sounded great, passed his 2nd PT test and said to proceed with plans for 6/1 PIR. So happy to at least hear his voice. No Battlestations date yet. What a huge relief he is doing well. My trip from Oregon to PIR starts next Sunday the 27th with a flight to Mississippi then by car to Great Lakes on the Thursday before PIR. It is getting so exciting now! 16 days!
