Thank you for posting that! That made me feel good as well! :)

Good morning!  Thank you for sharing!  It helps relieve some of my anxiety to hear they have come together as a division and helping each other. Hope to hear more as the count down continues. :)

Cindy

Oh, thank you for posting this!  Your son sounds a lot like mine: he makes a hundred friends as easily as breathing.  So glad to hear how ready the div seems to feel as they face Battlestations and everything!  Thank you, thank you.  Please tell your son a big thank you from a mom for the news he gives you, that he must know we are hungry to hear.  :)

Received a letter from Matt today.  He seems to be glad that bootcamp is almost over.  He never has gotten to the point where he likes bootcamp :).  Really don't blame him for not liking it.  He is anxious to graduate and move on in his career.  Can't wait to see him next Friday.

I'm sure all our recruits feel the same way!  I know mine does!  Ready to get out of there!  lol  ...and on with the next thing!  Bless them.

Good evening everyone! My mom was just telling me that one of her friends, who graduated from bootcamp several years ago, told her that there is a family night the thursday before PIR. She said that family is able to see the recruit the night before the ceremony. This is the first time I have ever heard of this since researching everything. Does this still take place? I thought I would ask just to be sure!

They do have the Meet and Greets that are held on Thursday night before PIR however the recruits will not be there. We won't get to see them until we watch them marching in at PIR.  I hear the best one to go to is Sarge's Meet and Greet and that is the one that I will be attending.  Hope to see you there and all other Division 168 supporters.

Okay I knew about the meet and greets. I plan on going to sarge's I believe. They must have discontinued the family nights the thursday before PIR. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something big!

There are pictures of our div on facebook!!!

I didn't get to check until about an hour ago!  I wept with joy at seeing their faces, especially MY SON's of course!  Oh my goodness, what unspeakable happiness and compassion for him and for all our sons.  Our recruits LOOK GOOD!  Beautiful.  My son says that the gassing was a tortuous, unforgettable experience for 147 recruits.  He says he will be wearing a Marksman ribbon (!), and that the 9mm pistol they learned to fire is a "beautiful, beautiful thing."  So funny.  I can't remember the numbers of the pictures he's in, but I tagged him (Ethan).  Love you all for being here, and for sharing these precious moments with me.

Larisa, I just sent you a friend request on facebook.  I am happy that your son got Marksman, my son loves to shoot any kind of weapon.  We sure have a fine looking bunch of guys.

I don't think my boy has shot a gun since he went to boy scout camp several years ago.  So funny, because he's a "hippie" at heart; guess every boy's a 'cowboy' at heart.  :)
