Hey =)
I had started a discussion at another place, but figured this was a better spot for it. I just wanted to start a place where we could all chat that our children were in the same group.
My name is Candy and my son is a 4th generation sailor on his dad's side. I am so proud of him. His father was in the Navy and I was Air Force. He did a little bit of college and decided that it wasn't for him. He is going to Mississippi for A school to be a SeeBee builder.
So glad I was told about this site.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I wish both you and your SR well. Praying for a fast recovery. Keep us informed.
The phone call should be sometime today. Therefore, im going to sit on my patio and wait for his call. Of course, occassionally log onto Navy For Moms to see about updates. LOL
Talking to my son right now. Everyone passed. Congratulations all.
He said it was really tough but,everyone passed! Congratulations all! He called about 45 minutes ago. I can't wait to PIR
Got my call too. =) I so can't wait for PIR. He sounded so tired, yet so excited on the phone. What a GREAT day. =)
Congrats =)
I never got a call, but I am glad to hear that everyone passed
Congrats to them and congrats to all the family
Keep your phone with you. They may have been standing watch or something. You should still get the "I'm a Sailor" call in the next few days. I hope it comes soon =)
Me too, thank you Candy.
We actually talked about that call this past Sunday when he called
By the way, how do we address the envelopes now that they're sailors? The one I sent today I just kept as SR.
I think we still address them the same. They are still in boot camp.
I think today will be the last letter i send to boot camp. It takes about 3-4 days to get there. I haven't been this excited in a while. Might get to the my local airport super early so i don't have any issues with security or bags. Starting my check list this evening of things i need to take. Next week ladies, next week!!!
I know.. I'm so super excited. I'm driving my husband and youngest son nuts. lol. =)
