Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hello,
My son is also in Ship 12 Div 220, he left for Great Lakes on May 22. I have received one letter, the form letter, with a brief hand written note. I am from Grand Ledge, Michigan, this is my first experience with the Navy and the military.

My Grandson is also in Ship 12 Div 220 he also left May 22 from Jacksonville Fl. I think he said he graduates the 13th of July.

My son is on Ship 12 Div 220. We are from Eastlake, Ohio. I received my first letter from my son today aside from the 3 lines on the back of the form letter. Has anyone received a phone call yet?

Hi Kare Bear,
My son called home on Monday night, it was about 10:30 pm (EST) and very brief about 5 minutes. He sounded very upbeat and said bootcamp was going well! I also got my first letter on Wednesday, he said they are VERY busy up at 4:30 am and to bed at about 10 pm.
