Hi Guys,

I was wondering if it would be rude to spend the whole day with my spouse without his Mom and Dad and Sister at PIR.  I mean I know they flew out for the graduation, but I won't see him again for 4 months and it would be nice to just get the whole day alone.

Is there a nice way to say that to them?

oh he's graduating this friday.

Don't miss his PIR. You will be sorry forever and you'll blame his mother for missing it. I am sorry you don't get along with your MIL. We understand when our sons need cuddle time with their sweethearts and try to stay in the background. Asking for the entire day may be a bit much. May I recommend having a family lunch together (during which you let your husband bond with his parents and sister) and perhaps you and your husband can have the remainder of the day (and night) uninterrupted. If there is an opportunity to see him off at the airport - everyone should be there.  My son will be married soon. She is a wonderful gal and they are great together. I taught him that when he gets married, their primary inner circle is composed of him, her and future kids. We the parents may get to be inside and share the space with them from time to time. LOL. My husband and I get it. Not sure her parents are on the same wave length. LOL.

Good luck. Do the best you can but go.

Yeah, even after a bottle of wine, I still don't like the lady.  Thanks for all the wonderful words of encouragement, but my man is gonna have to fly solo. I'll catch the dvd.   I can't wait to be a mother in law so I can finally walk the talk. There is nothing sweeter in the world than being married.  If I can raise my son to be a good husband and then just step back, I've done my job well.

Here is the link  to his PIR group....not sure if you'd be interested
