My daughter left for bootcamp yesterday.  The long wait at the airport was so stressful, all other branches left within 2 hours, we had a 6 hour wait.  We received her call in the middle of the night, and now wait until we hear something next.

Hello everyone. My on left in 5/22/12 and it has been nothing less than uncomfortable. He left from Seattle Washington and I had his "Kid in a box by Saturday" It was so hard and now I am just waiting anxiously for a letter or PIR date etc... Just something! I am desperate for something. This is one heck of a way to cut the apron strings (so they say) I am lost without him. I know this is what we are all going through and that makes this site that much sweeter!!! My prayers and love go out to all of you

Meegan...you can call the recruiter for the addy if you want.

I am in the same boat. My son also left 5/22. Still nothing but the box which came this past Tuesday. It's interesting that Jeffs Mum has rec'd her form letter and our boys left the same day and from the same place. I'm trying not to call his recruiter, I don't want to be a nag. I just think about him all the time and hope that we both hear something soon!!

Patrat...if I were you I'd go ahead and call the recruiter...you will not be nagging. Having the addy will make you feel soooo much better.

Also, go ahead and join the PIR group that I left the link to....there is a lot of info there in the discussion forum (posted in every PIR group) and if that isn't your group....no big deal just leave it and join (or form) the next one.

Once you get the addy from the recruiter post it on my wall and I can tell you if it looks right and how to write the addy. Also, if it looks like you'll be in the PIR 7/20 group (we "guesstimate buy looking at the division #)

I received my daughters box today!! It was sad opening it but I know she is happy where she is. Just hard for me. I was kind of hoping she had snuck in a letter in there but no such luck. Now time to wait for my form letter with her address. As soon as I receive it I will post.

My son also left on May 22nd...spoke with his recruiter today and still no contact info for him.  He said to call him 2wards the end of the week and they should have info on where/how to write him.  Congratulations to you and your daughter...

Wow, my daughter's recruiter called the next night with her address.  He said if we needed anything to give him a ring.  I hope you hear something soon.

Called Drew's recruiter & got his address.  Ship/07 Div 221....They looked it up by his social

She is ship 02 Division 936 - I haven't seen anyone else list that yet

That doesn't make sense.  My son left the same date as yours and the recruiter looked up his address by his social security number TODAY.  It's computerized!
