Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Made it through RTC
What a wonderful Graduation Ceremony. June 1st Division 170
My daughter loved RTC and has shown a great deal of respect for all that she has learned.
It's off to Pensacola FL. for 22 weeks of A school.
How at peace I feel now that I see how she has grown into a wonderful young lady in just those 8 weeks.
Her zest for life is contagious. She always had and continues to have a plan brewing. Fun doesn't just happen; it is a combination of thinking of a good event to have, plotting out the necessaries, and throwing in a surprise. Her choise to join the Navy was a huge surprise. It's funny because I will sit here and cry because it was so hard for me to have had to let her go. And then I laugh just thinking of all the happy memories of the past, the joyful moments of the present, and the hope and promise of the future.

Yay for her and glad that you got to be there. Too bad you weren't a member of the PIR group....it would have offered you a lot of support and info ove the last several weeks. Make sure you join her A school group and the group for her job.

Thanks for your posts! My daughter is in the beginning phases. We haven't learned yet what she'll be doing or when she'll head to BC. I've been pouring over everything that I can to help make the transition for her and myself as smooth as possible. I have to say that at times it's scary reading some of the posts. Worrying about possibilities....like getting kicked out for crying and depression and pap smears and everything else! LOL overwhelming. I just wanted to thank you for the uplifting post!
